Default Lois & Clark or Smallville?

Which show do you think is better? I myself can't judge as I've never even seen one episode of Lois & Clark. My first thoughts upon reading about the show was that it sucked by for the past week I've been giving thought to trying to buy a Lois & Clark DVD.

    They're both incredibly cheesy, but Dean Cain's Clark wasn't such a bumpkin/wuss.

Losi & CLark wasn't perfect, but those first couple of seasons are good fun and they really do capture the essence of the characters.

Lois&Clark worked well as a romantic comedy, but their Superman stuff (especially most of the villians) were way too cheesy for my taste. They also suffered from a lower special effects budget than Smallville.

I really enjoy "Smallville". I haven't seen the current season, so I can't comment on that. But the previous seasons have all been ejoyable for me.

It depends on what I feel like.

Sometimes I feel like some Lois (Teri Hatcher) and other times I'm in a (Kristen Kruek) Lana mood!

I really like a lot of the things Lois & Clark brought to the table. Clark Kent being the real person, Lex Luthor being incredibly suave, and Jimmy Olsen not being such a doofus (well, at least in the first season).

Yeah, it got cheesier and cheesier as it progressed, but I think people are unfairly harsh on it.

Something about the Slicked back hair and puffy "S" in L&C always put me off. It always looked more like Dean Cain dressed as Superman as opposed to being.... Superman. Brandon Roth did a little better... WHILE watching I was able to believe, but all the still shots and previews before and after were again a "guy in the costume" Christopher reeves was the only one so far that looked good at all times in the suit. Maybe because the costume wasn't "updated" at all. It was STRAIGHT from the comic.

Smallville doesn't have that problem. They don't ever put him in the suit. Its all clark, all the time. Some of the clothes they put him in, gives HINTS of what he would look like in a costume, but they leave it to their imagination.

MOST of the time, the stories and plots are less cheesy. I've got the first season of L&C and have a hard time finishing it, I have all 5 seasons of Smallville, and Can't wait to get the next one.
I wouldn't call it Blackmail. I prefer Extortion! The "X" makes it sound Exciting!

Lois and Clark has always been more about exploring the relationship between Lois and Clark with less action as compared to Smallville supervillain of the week showdown.

The people who own the show Smallville needs to figure out a way to get more money for their budget so we can get some kickass fights.
