It could be really good, but I wish there were a few more details. I look forward to seeing Quesada draw Dr. Strange.

I have insanely high hopes for this story, and believe it will have a positive impact on the titles.
Incidentally here's what I think is going to happen, and probably what I hope will happen.

Absolutely deserves its own thread, Purple.
I'm anxious to see JMS' final word on the title. Not that I'm glad to see him go, but because I believe he's gonna tie things up in a way that makes his 5+ run truly matter.
As for Quesada drawing it...I don't know who he thinks he's kidding. Maybe he'll shock us all and get all four issues in on time, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect lateness followed by a fill-in artist.

Here's a weird aside.
I can't claim to have developed this theory.
But an early issue of JMS's run features two guys talking about Bablyon 5, and how it sets up things in the first year, when there's no payoff for five years. This line indicates that there's things that happened in the first few issues which have set up events for JMS's last year.
One possible example:
JMS's first arc had Spider-Man essentially overdose on radiation to defeat an enemy. Perhaps this was the cause of the vague radiation poisoning which made the character so sick in "The Other." If that's the case, the final arc may tie up the loose ends of that storyline (ie- What happened to 'The Other?" What was the cause/ nature of Peter's illness? How did Morlun return?)
This has garnered my interest. I've been following ASM the entire time JMS has been on it, and while some times I enjoyed more than others, I'd love to see how he ties it all up.
Hey thanks for using my idea and giving it legs, there Cyberman. Considering how Dr. Strange is supposed to be "important to the story" in "One More Day" maybe we aren't so far off after all.
Well, I think it's a safe bet that magic will somehow be involved because
1. This arc all but confirms that the spider-marriage will be no more; but considering how Joe Q has stated that making Peter an widower or a divorcee would age the character even more than him being married, you can bet those options are off the table. Which means the only option left is something mystical.
2. He says Dr. Strange is "very important to the story." This can mean only one thing--MAGIC is somehow involved in disolving the Spider-Marriage.
3. If there's references to things that have happened early in JMS's run, that can only mean...you got it MORE NEW AGE MYSTICAL SPIDER-TOTEM CRAP!
Also, here's another possible way at "mindwiping," one that DOES NOT invovle casting a spell to make everyone forget...Time Travel, in that memories are "wiped" because of alterations through history. After all, we have had TWO time travel stories in Spider-Man comics within years of each other, both technically unresolved. We don't know what events led up to that possible future as depicted in ASM #500 (not to mention we still don't know what the consequences are as mentioned by Strange when Peter traveled through time in that issue), and we only know two out of the six "junction points" from PAD's "Jumping the Tracks" arc. Granted, if time travel is used to disolve the marriage or the unmasking, it's essentially saying that several stories never took place because they never happened, while at the same time saying that they still did because Peter, if he was the one traveling through time, would still have memories of these events.

This was the first that I had heard for this arc. I am a little scared that he is writing all three because Sensational and Friendly have their own style and I really like the differences. That being said I am really looking forward to this!
It would be unneccessary to deal with a real relationship by dissolving it using magic of all things. It's too much of an easy way out and I can't even imagine how that could be pulled off.
Heh well I kind of like the mystical stuff but it's still a new thing so I guess that element is going to continue to be explored for a while if they don't ignore it.3. If there's references to things that have happened early in JMS's run, that can only mean...you got it MORE NEW AGE MYSTICAL SPIDER-TOTEM CRAP!
Course it's a cop-out, but considering how Joe Q has stated on several occassions that divorce and MJ's death would make Spidey seem even older than what the marriage supposedly did, magic is pretty much all he has left. And as I said, it doesn't have to be a magical mindwipe spell. It could be a time-travelling spell courtesy of Dr. Strange. Perhaps "One More Day" refers to the idea that Spidey has to go back into the past to prevent something from taking place, and in the process of doing so ends up altering history to where his marriage to Mary Jane never took place. Course that would cause a heck of a lot of continuity problems depending on how far back he goes. Not to say I'm not a real fan of this solution though.
With JMS leaving after this arc, there's a good chance the concept could go with him, especially if "One More Day" is used to wrap up the totem angle for the second time in a row. :p Maybe "One More Day" means Spidey tells himself "One more day before I can stop immidating Wolverine with these bone spears that haphazardly pop out of my wrists." :DHeh well I kind of like the mystical stuff but it's still a new thing so I guess that element is going to continue to be explored for a while if they don't ignore it.
