Iron Man #14 (yes, it's Spidey-related) ***SPOILERS!!!***

This is one of the very few none-main CW issues I've picked up, and I only did so because I thumbed through it and saw IM and SM face off. Unfortunately, Spidey got his ass handed to him because Tony used surveillance on Pete through the Iron-Spidey costume to figure out how to emulate and negate Spidey's spider-sense! Not only can IM now send "false signals" to Pete's spider-sense, but Tony also has managed to copy it and now has a "spider-sense" of his own!

Really cool issue, even if you're not an IM fan.

eh, doc ock, norman osborn and venom have all done this. he still beats them down.
i still got money on spidey putting him through a plateglass window down 20 stories, off the trampoline, up 20 stories, and then back down on the street where he gets hit by a car, a truck, a scooter, and a copy of the daily bugle fresh-delivered.

and this folks, is why fans don't get to write comics. they just give all the jobs to them hollywood fools.

I'm not a fan if giving Tony Spider senses (and I'll wager other writers will be to the point of just completely ignoring it).

I've always thought that Spidey could beat Iron Man when the time comes, but now Im not so sure. He can basically shut Spider-Man down at will now, and since he has "Spider" Sense he takes away an advantage Peter had. We'll see if Spidey has what it takes in the end.

spidey will lose. i say this because pete pretty much loses at everything except for having a great wife. he's gonna lose so he can come back so much better and inflict justice black n white style.

Yeah, honestly guys? I know Spider-Man is the guy that's supposed to overcome impossible odds and all that, but when fighting a guy that's smarter, vastly better armed, equally experienced and much more powerful (while in the suit) the outcome isn't really that questionable.

It doesn't surprise me that Tony would figure out some "Anti-Spider" defenses pretty quickly once he switched sides.

It also wouldn't surprise me if Spider Man -does- manage to "get him back" before all is said and done. Though I doubt it'll be nearly so one-sided a beat-down as this was.

this whole thing is getting completly out of hand. Tony Stark now having a spider-sense is just nonsense!! anyway what issue was this? i'll like to read it

It says #14 in the title.

So when does this fight take place and does the issue have any other purpose than showing how Iron man would win over Spider-man?

Happy Hogan and whether or not Tony should commit euthanasia upon him

As well as further fleshing out Tony's role in civil war.

What made this a bit unique though is that not only can Tony now negate Pete's spider-sense, but he can send it "false positives" so that Pete's spider-sense goes off when there's no danger, or misreads where the danger is coming from. That's gotta suck!

I hate this crap! They are making Tony Stark way too powerful these days. If he doesn't bite the dust at the end of this nonsense, I'm going to be pissed.

They won't have to dust him... because for all the power ups he's given, future writers will likely just ignore them. Which is why they shouldn't be given to him in the first place.

Writers a quarter of the time forget Peter has Spider senses... no way in hell too many if ANY are going to acknowledge that Tony now has it.

Booo to the Iron-Sense, and booo to Tony being able to muck with the Spider-Sense. I bet the majority of folks will forget or ignore it in the future, but still... boooo!
