Default article in the latest wizard

so, flipping through a copy of the brand new wizard and saw some very interesting stuff in the 2007 hellboy preview article, besides the already announced b.p.r.d. garden of souls, darkness calls, the second animated hellboy movie and the abe sapien mini series, like ...

a lobster johnson mini drawn by jason armstrong (sweet!) and a b.p.r.d. mini focusing on a young broome set in 1948...

whew, looks like a good year to be a hellboy/b.p.r.d. fan!

This will truly be a great year for Hb fans but there is one thing bothering me... Why does it have to begin in April/May Mignolawise? [Darkness Calls/BPRD]

Personally, I'm REALLY looking forward to 2007 being the year of all things Hellboy universe. Ironically enough Mike having stepped away from the heavy lifting on the art chores has opened up a whole new universe of projects. Also, I think we're light years away from the uneven feel of something like Weird Tales (with respect, as I know many liked that series), now that we have BPRD to use as an example of how good a Hellboy universe story can turn out without Mike on art duties.

Huh, guess you missed the poll that asked, "If you wanted to frustrate
Hellboy fans, how late in the year would you start the Hellboyverse
stories?" Spring got the most votes. (KIDDING):D

...and Craig? I'm with PsychoFyre. Keep those Perhapanauts coming.

Jason looks like a great choice for artist on a Lobster book. Can't wait to see it.

I didn't see it discussed anywhere but the title for Abe's mini-series sounds interesting enough, Abe Sapien: the Drowning of St. Sabastien. Good stuff.

My question is, Mr. Rousseau, how come you're not working on a Hellboy universe related mini? You have an artistic style that would (I think) be uniquely qualified as very...uh....Mignola friendly. Just throwing the idea out there.

thanks for the compliments on the perhapanauts... it's been real fun to do! (with any luck, we'll keep doing it... 'cause if nothing else, it's pretty sweet to see other artists draw your creations... wait til you see who we've lined up for the pin-ups in the next trade)

and as far as not doing anything hellboy related, it's as simple as not being asked... (the few times i've even met mike mignola at conventions have all gone along the lines of "umm, wow.... i love your work, mr. mignola. " and ends with me buying a piece of art, mumbling something else, and walking away togue tied)

oh, and check out ferro city from image to see just how much jason rocks these days!
