Music On Youtube
As some of you might have already noticed, Youtube is just stuffed full of music videos.
There are all the old standards from the MTV generation and tons and tons of newer stuff.
Anyway I decided to start posting links to some of the cooler items I've run across, plus some of the old and oddball too.
Feel free to join in.

Discipline by Throbbing Gristle

Speaking of Industrial Bands, if you had to pick the “greatest” one of all time, I think you can make a serious case for it being Throbbing Gristle.
Chris & Cosey, Sleazy and the amazing Genesis P-Orridge just made some of the most amazingly hypnotic yet deeply disturbed music I have ever heard. There is just so little film of them, but from the looks of it the show must have been amazing.
Apparently they have regrouped for the occasional show, not that I am ever going to see them in the backwoods of middle America.

Now here's someone that you never hear anyone talk about but who am a huge fan of.
Here's the amazing Johnny Otis singing Willie & the Hand Jive.
Otis is in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, and before the rise of Elvis in '56 was known far and wide as the King of Rock n Roll, but he is almost completely unknown to modern audiences.

Sharkey's Day by Laurie Anderson

I got to see Laurie Anderson in concert at the San Francisco Opera House in 1989. It was just an amazing performance from an amazing, and highly underrated composer and performer.

My favorite music videos are trippy animated ones, like this one for David Byrne and Brian Eno's "Mea Culpa."
