I feel a little bad for that Dennis guy.

I wonder what he's thinking through all this?

I feel bad for Mr. Waid. There is no way he could have known what he was getting himself into.

Remember Mr. Waid, I would be willing to contribute a few hundred. When you win it back you can donate it to the Hero Initiative.

Hey, I'll admit it -- I miss CrossGen a lot. Imploding business practices aside, they made some damn good comics. (Ruse was, for a time, my hands-down favorite comic book on the stands.)

Hell yeah. Ian Edgington has said he almost lost his house because of Alessi's bastardy and only made it out because of, IIRC, 2000AD unexpectedly picking up some pitches. As he's said, why be loyal to someone buggering you financially?

Yeah... I primarily got into CG through those funky compilation books they put out.

Business issues aside, there were some damn good books coming out of there, and even the weaker ones but god DAMN were they pretty. I was never a major fan, but I did enjoy reading their output.

And then they Olneyed. How sad.

I was a major fan. I really wish Disney would DO something with the properties since they bought 'em out. It's great Checkers (is that the name of the company) is going to start reprinting some of the CrossGen books. It'd be better if they made some new volumes. It'd be FANTASTIC if the guys who made the books in the first place were getting a piece of the action.

You can only imagine this kind of behavior in prison. Offering to pay someone in imaginary cigarettes so he can not be victimized by guys that couldn't be floored with sledgehammers. Somehow I can see him trying it.

Might I be allowed to hazard a guess as to the store?

First letter 'R', last letter 'D'.

I heard many an inexplicable rant about an LCS with about as much vitriol as he's display towards any of us.

Some of their books were quite good. I enjoyed the products...a shame though Alessi didn't keep afloat.
