Does anyone know of a good anime that has boxing?

Does anyone know of any good anime that features boxing? After watching Rocky IV today, I have a sudden urge to watch a show with boxing in it.

Hajime No Ippo aka Fighting Spirit in the US. As far as I know, it is THE boxing anime. There may be others, but this is a hugely popular series. There's a long running anime and a manga that goes even further. A roomate of mine loves it.

I agree, Hajime No Ippo is superior. One of the funniest mangas ever. My friends says the anime is cool too.

Do the fights look that good in every fight? Also how is the storyline?

This one is the grandfather of all boxing manga and anime. They released some crazy boxsets in Japan, but I haven't seen it in the US. They made some not so hot video games based on it as well. I love old school stuff, so I thought I would add it to the mix. The history of the manga and anime is fascinating. When one of the characters died, they actually mourned him in Japan.

You're right, this show is good. The fights are entertaining.

Another one is Rumiko Takahashi's ( Ranma1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Inuysha ) ONE POUND GOSPEL, but, like the manga, this is a very short series ( they made one OVA series, I believe )<Its about ( believe it or not ) a boxer who falls in love with a NUN at a Japanese Catholic mission.
