Someone mentions this at the provided link, but there's a Marvel comics logo on the Hellboy DVD. Is this common practice to advertise with a "rival" publisher?

It's like Warner Bros putting their trailers on a Sony Pictures DVD release. Amusing.

Thanks, Tad. I'll be pre-ordering this as soon as I can. Anything to ensure that Animated keeps rolling.

Pre-ordered my copy! Even though I kind of blasted the film when it first premiered, I still have that soft spot for supporting all things Hellboy Community related. Especially if it means Tad and co. will get to produce more of these.

But weren't Xmen advertised in DC comics and Batman in Marvel? Don't know for sure but that was my impression. You advertise where your audience is. And beyond that, Dark Horse Direct is putting out a Superman statue. Business is business.

Hey Tad...who did the cover to the "Phantom Limbs" comic insert for the DVD? Jeff Matsuda?

Yes, Jeff Matsuda did the cover for Phantom Limbs and Black Wedding. The second DVD comic insert and second Hellboy Animated digest will have covers painted by an artist very familiar to most Hellboy Fans. But that announcement will be made by Dark Horse at the appropriate time.
