Default How old is Peter Parker?

Has he turned 30 yet? Or is he forever stuck somewhere in his twenties?

I've been trying to catch up over the last few years worth and just got done reading the "Sins Past" storyline a week or so ago. I noticed how they mentioned Gwen's death as several years ago. Hey, I was there in '73!

Time sure is funny in the MU, eh? It seems Pete aged about five years in the first decade and another 5 in the last 30+ years. I think it may have come to a complete stop by now. I realize Marvel (or DC for that matter) can't have a bunch of geriatrics running around, but I still would like to get a little more of a sense of time actually passing.

What age did he turn in Happy Birthday? Did they say?

He's in his mid-twenties. He probably won't reach thirty for quite some time.

I think the last firm age we had for him was 28 or so. Which is about right. It's been officially said in The Thing's ongoing that it was 13 years since the FF flight. So yeah, that works out to Peter being around 28 or so.

27 or 28. There's no telling how long the difference is between the FF's first appearance and Peter becoming Spider-Man.
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

The fact that Aunt May is still alive proves that time moves slow.

Not only that, but she looks younger than she did in the seventies! Thanks guys! So I guess we can say the whole Marvel Universe is about 13 years old and holding, right?

It ages. Just very slowly. Around four years of stories equals about 1 year of Marvel time. You just have to ignore things like the extra Christmas issues and such. ;)

Time is slowly advancing right now.

They have to stop advancing at some point though, or else in another 40 years Peter will be 40 :p

If we take the Thing series by Dan Slott seriously, then its been 13 years since the FF gained their powers and became super-heroes.

According to what Peter said at his unmasking, he's been Spider-Man since he was 15.

If Spider-Man debuted the same year as the FF then he would be 28.

This issue of age always seems to come up. I don't really see why it matters all that much. We know time is passing and that Peter has aged to some degree. Its like the Simpsons or something. Time stands still for fictional characters with on going series. There are so many larger issues that should be of greater concern then Peter's age.

He always seems to be in his mid 20s to me.

I think aging characters is pretty stupid actually. Peter has aged a little, which is fine, but I don't think he should age any more than he has already. Its a comic for heaven's sake - it doesn't have to be 100% realistic. Even if you age Peter slowly, he will eventually be 70 years old and webslinging with a cane. If you don't want that to happen, you'd best not complain about how he hasn't aged in 30 years.

Exactly. We'll never see an old Peter Parker, Clark Kent or Archie Andrews (unless it's in an 'alternate future' kinda thing).
