    Default Ultimate Vision #1 (spoilers)

since no one else has posted it...

starts with a brief recap of the Gah Lak Tus story from the Vision's point of view; cuts to her and the Falcon talking about why she has to leave (to warn other planets and to give the knowledge how to beat Gah Lak Tus); they hug, blah blah blah... meanwhile, a bunch of guys in a satellite outside of the Earth see her coming and they "throw out the bait", a frequency which we find comes only from Gah Lak Tus... she phases through the wall of the satellite only to find Doctor Georde Tarleton, who shows her that the space station is a floating lab and they are performing all sorts of creepy experiments such as psionically linked twins, giant viruses and synthetic humans. The big nasty, however, is a part of Gah Lak Tus they captured that went inoperative but was not destroyed; they want to use Vision, who's the "ultimate communicator", to talk to it and reprogram a self-destruct that they can use to destroy ALL of Gah Lak Tus; she decides to help in the name of getting rid of the big nasty even though she finds out the scientists have been in contact with the Soviet scientists responsible for dismantling her when she was a he; anyway, it was all a big double cross, Tarleton really just wants to control the Gah Lak Tus module and uses it to rip her in half; we also find out they're all Ultimate A.I.M.

not a bad issue. Nice art.

A very good start for the mini. And the introduction of Ultimate A.I.M. and Modok. Bonus. :D

So Ultimate Vision does more than just pose? Maybe I should read this.

It's pretty cool so far. I've never gotten around to reading Ultimate Extinction but I was able to pick up the plot pretty fast. Carey shows the flair for SF here that he is also demonstrating in Ultimate FF.

I thought this was the best art I've seen from Brandon Peterson.

Solid story. I'm hoping that he can tie this (not overtly, but just subtly) in with what he's doing in UFF. Just to bring a sense of unity and cohesiveness to the cosmic universe.

Boring as hell, IMO. And no one will even mention it in the Ultimate main series. I wish they just forget about Gah-Lak-Tus.

I hope we see more of Ultimate Sam Wilson throughout the mini.

He's one of my favorite Ultimate characters.

Totally awesome. I think Carey's my favourite writer at Marvel right now. Peterson's work on this book also seems like a step up from Ult. Extinction.

Great set up for the mini. I'm a big fan of Carey's writing, with just one issue he has actually got me interested in the Vision character which I had found rather dull until now. I'm in love with Peterson's art as well, it looks gorgeous. I'm along for the ride.

I like #1, the art's great. The cliffhanger at the end was pretty sweet too.

I guess my only gripe would have to be the minor inconsistency between #1 and #0.

    That spoilers:
Vision was in the procees of building a spaceship to escape Earth in #0, but was shown travelling through space on her own in #1
    end of spoilers

I really enjoye this first issue. I had my doubts since I`ve been kind of confused on Carey's UFF arc so far.
