Default Places for aspiring writers and artists to seek collaborators

I'm trying to compile a Master List of places where an aspiring writer or artist can seek a collaborator. Either to illustrate his scripts, or to provide scripts for him to illustrate. I'm looking for online boards, or specific threads on a board, that are essentially dedicated to helping people network to collaborate on a comic book pitch, or a webcomic project, or both.

Here are the links I've already come up with.

Comic Genesis has a Sticky Thread for it -- Artist/Writer Classified Ads.
    http://forums.comicgenesis.com/viewtopic.php?t=71385

PencilJack has a "Bulletin Board" forum that includes, but is not exclusively dedicated to, that sort of "help wanted" ad.
    http://www.penciljack.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=20

    DigitalWebbing -- Talent Search Classifieds
    http://www.digitalwebbing.com/talent/

Digital Webbing -- The Help Wanted forum
    http://www.digitalwebbing.com/forums...splay.php?f=67

OnlineComics.net -- The "Seeking Creators" forum
    http://www.onlinecomics.net/pages/fo...cs.php?cat=see

ComicWeb -- The Comic Book Creators Board
    http://comicweb.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaB...board=creators

Zwol.org -- a forum called "Seeking Comics Artists/Writers" [Apparently requires you to become a registered member first, before you can even look at the board]
    http://www.zwol.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=8

Otaku Boards -- The Manga Workshop forum has a Sticky Thread called "The Artist and Writer Recruiting Thread"
    http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=39299

Comic Book Resources -- a Sticky Thread called "Seeking Talent" on their Never Ending Forum
    http://forums.comicbookresources.com...ad.php?t=52686

DrunkDuck: The Webcomics Community -- "Networking & Community Projects" forum
    http://www.drunkduck.com/community/v...y.php?cid=236&

Komikwerks has five separate forums, under the "Kollaborators" heading, wherein Artists, Colorists, Inkers, Letterers, and Writers can advertise their availabity for a collaboration (or, alternately, someone else can post that he is frantically looking for someone to help out in one of those categories)
    http://www.komikwerks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=1

Smack Jeeves -- an Artist Collaboration Forum
    http://www.smackjeeves.com/forum/vie...2f616efe2e51d7

Wizard has a forum called "Pimp My Stuff" for self-promotion (although I wish they'd found a different verb for the title), and that forum has a Sticky Thread called FIND AN ARTIST/WRITER/LETTERER/INKER/etc.

Jaye has called my attention to the Comic Foundry Match Ups service:
    http://www.comicfoundry.com/modules/...t.php?cat_id=1
(One strange thing about this one: No dates show for when an ad was posted. If someone posted an ad for someone with your qualifications, you can't tell at first glance whether they posted that ad three days ago or three years ago!)

WCN's Cartoonist Lounge includes a "Help Wanted" forum:
    http://webcomic.net/forums/251/ShowForum.aspx

Comics Artist Direct Forums -- a place for writers and artists to advertise for each other
    http://pub4.bravenet.com/forum/show....28907092&cpv=1

Talk About Comics has a "Find a Collaborator" Forum (actually three forums bundled together under one heading, it appears).
    http://www.talkaboutcomics.com/phpBB...e636e8b1ae43d9

Dimestore Productions -- Collaborations/"Getting Known" Work
    http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/...37/board,13.0/

If you know of one that I'm missing, speak up!

Earlier today, I discovered that Jaye had added a link to this thread at the top of the "Seeking Talent" sticky thread. That made me think I ought to update my list a little. I've done some further research online, and just now I added several more forums to the list in the original post.

I hope they come in handy for someone seeking a collaborator!

Default comic book creator classified sites

Can anyone point me in the direction of sites where I could find other people who create their own comics? If they had classified ads that would be great!!

    Thumbs up

Thanks for all of the locations! I actually was sticking with CBR and DW before today so now I've spread my posting over all sorts of web sites hoping to get some different blood than I've already heard from. There are a lot of great artists out there, but it's a challenge when a number of the great ones willing to work with you are in other countries, adding to complications with how to get them paid if the book gets picked up (if the publisher is even willing to do it).

    Thanks again!

Does anyone know about DigitalWebbing.com that was posted above?
It has some great info but it seems a little dead.
    I registered... but can't post.
Do you have to pay to post on that site? If so, is it worth it?

Hopefully, someone's already answered this for you or you've figured it out. You shouldn't have to pay anyone anything to post over at DW. It ebbs and flows there, kind of like this place. Not sure why you can't post though. Maybe you should pm one of the mods there?
