Default Help with remembering an issue, please.

OK, I know there was an issue of some comic (i cannot for the life of me remember what it was) that started out with Lois talking to the reader in captions. She was talking about how people know that Superman has super-hearing or x-ray vision, but they have no idea what it really means. He can see a single cell decay, can use telescopic vision to see to the centre of the Universe. Stuff like that.

It was very cool. And I am almost sure I have it. I just can't remember what comic it is.

If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.

That could be almost any issue of Loeb's run on Superman. He had Lois narrating through captions in most of his issues. The one you're looking for might be in his one of his first 3 issues (151-153). Good luck!

I am nearly positive you're referring to Superman #218, the first issue of the landmark Sacrifice story arc (culminating with Wonder Woman's assassination of Maxwell Lord). That particular issue was written by Mark Verheiden, another writer who made copious use of Lois as a narration tool. I'll check my trades tonight and make sure that's the one.

    THANK YOU!

It's Superman #219. The reason I couldn't locate it was because I had it with the rest of the "Sacrifice" arc in my Wonder Woman section, and forgot.

Seriously, it was driving me absolutely nuts. I really appreciate the help.

No worries; I should have gotten the issue number right, as Superman #219 is actually the first comic book I purchased upon my return to regular collecting after a 10-year hiatus. By all rights, my collection begins there. Not a bad way to start a run, either - an issue penned by Verheiden, drawn by Ed Benes (the man is nothing short of a master), and that starts off one of the most talked-about stories in recent history.

    All true.

Man, Ed Benes ... I miss him drawing Lois Lane.
