Sunrise going downhill?

So recently I have noticed a trend in things, since their Big O and Cowboy Bebop days it looks like Sunrise continued to spiral downwards alot particularly with animation and plot. Take for example Gundam Seed Destiny which was as I must quote "Quite a disappointment" the animation looked alot worse than Seed, and the plot made no sense toward the end. If you compare this to other Gundam series such as 8th MS team the animation really wasn't that crisp. Mai-Hime in my opinion really was the anime that saved Sunrise, but then afterwards things started going downhill again particularly with Otome.

So I might as well get to the point right now, do you think Sunrise is really declining on the quality of anime, and milking their franchises too much nowadays? I mean Kyoto animation probably makes their heads hang down in shame.

Doesn't look quite like Clamp's style of art though, whenever I think of Clamp I think of Code Geass being drawn somewhat like Cardcaptor Sakura or Chobits.

CLAMP was involved in the char designs, but I hear Takahiro Kimura had more involvement further down the line. There's still a hint of the XXXHolic "noodle people" look, but yeah, it otherwise doesn't much look like CLAMP.

Edit: Oh, except Suzaku kinda resembles Syaoran.

I hope not, but I dunno how far they've planned ahead. One hopes they learned their lesson from GSD.

*looks back at Mai Otome* I'd say somewhat, and the fact that its not Directed by Fukada at least gives me some hope.
