Alice in Chains' "Down in a Hole" is a rough one for me.

Tom Waits - Time
"For relaxing times, make it Suntory time”
- Bob Harris
Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt just tears me up.
I still have trouble getting through the finales of Rent dry-eyed.

Civilly disobeying the law of gravity.
Pretty much anything by Stephin Merritt.
~Richie!
~No Jargon~
Jackie DeShannon's 'When You Walk In the Room'
the Go-Go's 'Vacation'
B.J. Thomas's 'Rock'n'Roll Lullaby'

This may sound lame, but its a festive choice. Anyone know that song Christmas Shoes? Its about a kid wanting to buy this pair of shoes for his mom who is dying at Christmas but can't afford them. But this stranger ends up buying them for the kid to give to her.
Sad stuff. Heard it the other day on the radio and got a couple o' tears in the eyes.
"The Promise" by Bruce Springsteen. Painfully depressing song.
"Everybody, sooner or later, sits down to a banquet of consequences." - Robert Louis Stevenson
"This House", Tracie Spencer
Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.
R.E.M.'s "Let Me In" gets to me.
"You blew it! You blew it! Hear that video crowd? THEY HATE YOU!"
I'm still an emo kid at heart, so Brand New's "The No Seatbelt Song" gets to me every time I hear it.

If I hear "Free Bird" at a certain time, I can get a little lumpy in the throat. That is until the bitchin' guitar solo comes up.
I'll second that motion. "Mad World" by Gary Jules (from Donnie Darko) get's an honorable mention, as do "Sort Of A Protest Song" by Matthew Good Band, "Brick" by Ben Folds Five, and "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd. Oh, and "Try, Try, Try" by The Smashing Pumpkins has the potential to get my eyes all watery when coupled with the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOygC5KVMjEOriginally Posted by Ontir

READING:
Amazing Spider-Man | Avengers Academy | Carnage USA | Locke & Key | Scarlet Spider | Ultimate Spider-Man
"Mr. Tanner" by Harry Chapin gets me every time. I can't listen to it if I've had a few drinks or the tears threaten to spill.
