Can it happen? More importantly SHOULD it happen?
Mayday Parker has always kept a base level of popularity, but wouldn't she do better as a mainstream marvel hero?
Yes!
No!

If they give Arana the title and costume. No more future kids from another timeline. X-Men are full of them.

Mikl C: SAGE! Someone should press her reboot button then stomp on her head til she dies.:
Actually, you can bring her in without time travel. :)
Mayday is MJ's kindnapped baby. Osborn accellerated her aging and raised her in virtual reality, the Spider Girl comics so far..... then tries to use her against Spiderman now.
That would be acceptable I think. No need to bring May out of the MC2 universe. Though when you bring in a Spider-girl she has to be closely connected to Spider-man though or Spider-woman in order to properly cell it I think. Hell both to be on the safe side I think.Originally Posted by Mariah

Hell no.
The Spider-Girl universe picks up as the Spider-Man universe was going to hell. Auny May died; baby May lived; way it should've been. Please let me quietly forget Aunt May's alive, oh and that stuff about Gwen and Norman. That never happened is Spidergirl land either.
My, what a wonderful place...

I would change now to no. Not that I don't like the MU 1.
Its my favorite but the whole no more future kids thing is right.
Bringing spidergirl to the MU is not a good Idea.

Nope. Leave her. I love her little university... without her own little world of superheroes and supporting cast, you have about 40% of what makes Spider-Girl good left. If that.

i wouldn't want to see spidergirl in the 616 universe.
and i'm counting 1, counting 2, counting 3...
Do we know that Sins Past didn't happen? Norman and Gwen's relationship happened before her death, something Spider-Girl has had not need to mention.Originally Posted by coke & comics

Having May meet Sara would be... odd.
So far, looks like the "nos" have it. lol
You could always do a "What If?" one-shot about May as Spider-Girl in the 616 universe.
From now on we're poison to you Spider-Man. That's why we call ourselves... VENOM!!!

Sins past later revealed certain things had "happened". But I've read the issues of that time. Sins Past did not happend and doesn't fit in.
So no, there's no Sins Past in Spider-Girl. It's a better universe.
Have a What If? if people like.

As much as I like shared universes, I think there are certain titles that draw some advantage from the fact that they're essentially self-contained. They're freed up from some of the drawbacks that go along with crossovers and the like. They get to set their own tone, and aren't tied so closely to other series. I think that has worked for Spider-Man 2099 and LoSH. Although I'm a recent Spider-Girl fan, I think it works for Spider-Girl, too. The book has an old school tone that works for it.
"I don't care if they have definite connections to the boy scouts. They have Weapon X - I want him back. We spent a lot of money and resources developing and training him - not to mention your group as well - I won't see it thrown away."
- Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, April 1979
Unfortunately, Wolverine escaped to the U.S. with the X-Men. Soon after this stunning debacle, Trudeau's Liberal Party would go down to defeat in the May 1979 election.
