    Default The Street Fighter Thread

I thought it would be nice all us Street Fighter fans had a thread to discuss the UDON series.

Issue #5 finally came out this week and I found it to be enjoyable. Man, Guile sure knows how to pick a good secretary. :D Bison is starting to kick some ass. This issue has two back-up stories. the first one is a follow up to the backstory when Gen killed Geki in front of Chun-Li and the second backstory ties-in to the Street Fighter Legends: Sakura series.

I only have the three Street Fighter Legends: Sakura issues out so far, but none of the other Street Fighter issues. I need to start collecting those ASAP.

I got StreetFighter 5 and Sakura 3 today! I was so happy I found them I could have screamed like a little girl!! Both were great, issue 5 was especially strong with lots of Cammy action! I loved seeing all the Doll soldiers throwing down with Cammy, Rose and T.Hawk and was suprised when Juli took down all of Delta Red. Next issue is going to be amazing with Bison finally tracking down Cammy and Rose, but Ive got a feeling ssomeone is going to die aswell. Hopefully we wont have to wait another 5 MONTHS to read it!

I have almost all of UDON Street Fighter issues. I'm just missing the Street Fighter #0 and the Summer Special.

Maybe UDON should have Omar Dogan become Street Fighter regular artist. I love his art in the Sakura series and he can keep a monthly schedule.

On a related note, does anyone know when UDON will relaunch Darkstalkers?

I think its highly doubtful, Darkstalkers sold poorly in comparion with Streetfighter, which isnt exactly a top seller to begin with. Shame though, I quite enjoyed the series but missed the final issue.

That's a shame. Darkstalkers was a very great book. Alvin Lee drew the best Morrigan and Felica ever.

Streetfighter no 6 came out today in the UK which was a very pleasant suprise!
What is that like 2 consecutive issues ! Once again it was a great read benefiting from the fact that there was no back up story just one big one to wrap up the first arc and move forward to the tournament proper.

I was right about my prediction that a character would die; so it is so long Rose it was nice knowing you. Bison basically disintegrated her and forced Cammy to join him otherwise he would kill Delta Red. Cammy's origin was also revealed to her and she was told she was basically a clone of Bison. I was hoping that they would change it so she was a real person who had ben experimented on for Bison's purposes but I will just have to put up with it.

Ryu had a fight with himself though im not sure if this really happened or it was all some sort of hallucination mind fuck he was having! The story ends with Bison sending out invitations for the Streetfighter tournament which he plans to use as a testing ground for Cammy and to find the best fighters to join his terrorist army. Hopefully we wont have to wait too long for the next arc to begin and for the real action to kick off. So get your act together Udon and give us SF fans want we want; monthly ass kicking goodness!
