Default Nods to JWK: 25 Worst Comics

In response to JWK's '25 Greatest Comics' thread, I decided to make one that tries to tell all of you the question: What are the 25 Worst Comic Books of All-Time?

Any comic book is eligable for this, as long as they are actually existing books!

    What are your picks?

    See you soon!

    Jeremy

It's a fun idea, but you should follow Kid Omega's structure and list the 25 Worst and ask people to add and subtract, explaining their rationale.

First off, Ruins. Ugly to look at, cynical as all get out, has no actuall story tying it together, and it ultimatley just stops instead of havign a decent ending.

The 90s Kamandi series. It came across as one of the worst examples of revamping something to make it seem cool... 90s IMAGE cool, that is, which is a style Superman really doesn't need to be done in.

I hate early 90s Image comics too, all stiff poses without life or a story.
A lot of artist driven comics from 90s sucks bad, they is so stuck in that time that they is more or less unreadable(or unlookable) just 10 years later.

But there is so much comics that i don't like but other people thinks is brilliant.

I'm basing this on what I find in quater bins the most:

    BRIGADE (from Image)
DEATHWATCH (is that the name of the Image/Valiant crossover? Or Deathmate?)
DOOM PATROL (the John Byrne version)

Credit where due... the Best Comics thread is Kid Omega's. I just put a link to it over here to help spread the goodness and to draw some of the excellent folk here into the conversation.

That said, let's all together try to come up with an initial list to work from.

    My nominations:
    YOUNGBLOOD
    H.A.R.D. CORPS
    FAUST
    FAMILY CIRCUS
    My Cooking Blog!

    KRAMER'S LAWS:
    1) Most people are stupid.
    2) Most people who aren't stupid often behave as if they were stupid.
    3) Many people who are not stupid nonetheless believe a lot of astonishingly stupid things.

I'm curious what the reaction to my choice will be since there are so many Canadians around here...

    For Better or For Worse

Let me elaborate a bit here. There are many comic strips that are poorly illustrated/written or just aren't funny at all. But this strip is actually drawn pretty well. It's just that the ongoing storylines are so cringe-worthy and the attempts at humor are so forced that it almost gets to the point that you can't stop reading. It's sort of like the cut in your mouth you can't stop playing with.

I would say Mallard Fillmore too but I always thought that was because I was a lefty, pinko commie. Oh, and because I have no soul :D

It ain't the politics that make it bad. (I mean, I'm a lefty pinko commie too- butat least I have a soul!) I might not like it so much, but I could appreciate it if it was well done. But it's just a poorly crafted, unfunny recitation of rightwing talking points. A liberal version would be just as bad.

SuperPro is trainwreck good. I's entertaining for all the wrong reasons but it's still entertaining.

It's books like H.A.R.D. Corps that have no redeeming value at all.

This Canadian makes it a point to never read it anymore. I'm hardly hard edged, but its sentimental beyond belief. Speaking of strips treading water. How about Garfield... when was the last time anyone laughed it it. Same gag ad infinitum.

I think FBFW is one of the better strips out there. I don't think it really wants to be a gag-a-day strip, but more of an ongoing story about the characters. It's more Gasoline Alley than Blondie.
