I am new to the comic book world, but my boyfriend is very into it. I wanted to get some information on spiderman comics because I am looking to get him at least one first edition for the holidays. But i want it to be a significant first edition with a good first appearance or something along those lines. I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some information. I went on ebay and found this one......
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN ISSUE 1 FIRST PRINT DIRECT EDITION
i was wondering is this was worth me purchasing or if there is another direction i should look. I would also appreciate any help with where to purchase these comics. Thank you so much for any help.

thats a really nice idea, i would be happy if a girl did that for me =D Personaly i don't read Ultimate spider-man but it is VERY popular. I know the 1st print is expensive (i looked on ebay just now) but im sure any spider-fan would be happy to have it =D just MAKE SURE you look to see if he already has it...if he does it will be a big dissapointment =(
