This is a lengthy but very good article on the path to civil war in Iraq.

The author, Nir Rosen, is a Shia muslim and has a perspective and depth of understanding on events in Iraq we seldom see in the media - for example, a first-hand account of a sermon by Muqtada Al Sadr.
