Hey team, long time no annoy. Anywho, Novembers Mad came out, and I couldnt find any Mignola pics in there. Is the issue not coming out in nov.? Or did I miss it? Any help would be great.

He did a piece called the YakMaster. I think the title was called Lame Supervillians or something.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are on the cover.
I'm holding it in my hands right now. Mignola's piece is on page 50. It's cute.
In typical MM fashion, though, he's also kind of creepy, and would easily fit right in a Hellboy comic. I do like the description of his weapon.

Someone should scan it in for us to see.:)
Thanks for the reminder! I went out and picked it up. Nice little illustration. GO SUPPORT THE MAGAZINE so MAD can do more stuff like this. (Although I hesitate to say that since I do NOT support the new trend of Photoshop covers they're using lately.)

i've been subscribing to MAD for years and I haven't gotten that issue in the mail yet :[. i hope it comes soonstyle.
I agree. I purchase Mad from time to time, but haven't picked up this issue yet. Usually I find Mad an only sometimes funny mag, with lots of uneven material. It least it's stuck around all these years though.Originally Posted by noble_enough
My love for all things Mignola compelled me to buy that stinky magazine yesterday. It is amazing that a humour magazine can so consistently fail to be funny.
Awesome Yakmaster drawing, though.
Recent Nature Sightings:
Sept 24: Two Orcas close to shore.
Nov 14: Trumpeter Swans, Bald Eagles catching salmon (and a duck!), Harbour Seals, Steller Sea Lions, Kingfisher.
Used to be one of my favourite printed material to enjoy the amazing artwork. Not anymore.
I picked it up nonetheless. I was not sorry. The cover looks pretty cool too. Note the little tooth that is to go missing all through Al's life. :D

I love that YakMaster sketch! Somehow Mike is able to make the absurd work so very well.
BTW, there's also a really nice Kevin Nowlan drawn character in the same mag'. In other words, this issue is well worth seeking out even if you don't regularly buy Mad Magazine- like me.
Thanks for posting this baby, Adam!
That's basicly the only way I could ever get it and it's realy a fun piece to look at! :D (I wonder who wrote the discription... Perhaps Mignola himself?)
