Love the octopus, Jaye. and the top painting blows me away. It's fantastic, fabulous composition, the soft colours and black play off each other like wow.

Unfinished acrylic 'sketch' on board.... not sure what I will do to finish it. Its' just on my table with a bunch of unfinished stuff...but someone asked for a print of it as-is. So, maybe I will put a monster in the background someday, but for now it's just a quiet still life.

This is a painting of Orion I made for a winter-themed installation in a local storefront...

He is my largest painting, five feet tall, painted on fabric:

And it was hung amidst silvery drapery with lots of sparkle, like the stars...

Here is this years' holiday design.

My girlfriend and I bought a house this year, and thus merged everything, including my fat old spoiled cat, and her big old spoiled dog. We thought they would like each other, all they do is sleep. But it's not meant to be. They have to remain separated by a series of baby gates in the house, else they will fight to the death.

They were my obvious inspiration this year...

That's a great card, Jaye. I don't know how I missed the birch trees earlier, but that is fabulous, my favourite of your works to date.

Thanks, I am really in the spirit of the holidays this year, and I'm thrilled about how wonderful 2012 will be for us. Thanks also for your comment on the birches. It's one I like a lot, and I am so glad you do too!

This latest really isn't in the spirit of the holidays, but it was done for the topic of SINK, and it's what came to mind... ohwell.

Ink on paper, then digitally colored.

The real piece is actually three squares of board glued together. I simulated the background in photoshop, and its kind of close, but the depth in person in rather nice. When the glue dries, I'll take a photo of the real thing and post it.

I like the lines of the coat, and obviously, the colors are my usual thing. This was done in a day, the coat taken from a sketch I had done last week, and the rest is ink and acrylic paints.
