Question Good Captain America issue index websites?

Hey all... I'm looking for a good index site that has a breakdown for some Captain America comics... plot synopsis, artists, inkers etc.

I know about a couple of Comic Book Databases... but none have what I want as they focus on EVERYTHING and I'm just looking for Cap.

    Anyone able to help?

    Thanks in advance.

The only decent dedicated Cap site I know of is the Star-Spangled Site. But it doesn't really cover old stuff.

You might find something on the Captain America webring.

Thanks Matt... I've alreadychecked em out and didn't find what I needed.

I actually found an issue by issue breakdown for DC's Warlord in my search... which made me believe there MUST be something for Cap... but if there is Google and Yahoo can't find it.

    Thanks though.

I hear a crying need out there for a complete Captain America database... or at least scans of covers, key scenes, and plot synopsis. I am amazed that anyone hasn't already done this.

It seems that it would be relatively easy to do with the Silver Age appearances... from Tales of Suspense #59 through Captain America #100 and onward. (I wouldn't include the Avengers appearances in there, if it were me, as there are so many... nor the Strange Tales guestars...)

But now that I think about it, the 1950s appearances might be just as difficult as the Golden Age Cap stories to find and summarize... especially as some may have had multiple stories in single issues.
    I dunno.

I picked up a DVD copy of Captain America issues from #100-125 for $5 at a computer/Hamfest and find it very awkward to use. But, given that it contains scans of each page, cover and all artwork from this period, it might be an easy source for cover scans and data to share.

I know that I've got the first three Marvel Masterworks, and could contribute to a database by tabulating those issues, if someone else has access to the Golden Age and Red-baiting commie 1950s AtlasTimely issues.... But I can also tell you that I fell of love with the character by the time the Falcon changed his colors and before the 150-reappearance of the Red-hating Cap showed up. I only came back for Byrne (after the fact) and then Mike Zeck through the MotherNight/Red Skull anniversary.

Does anyone want to tackle this, or is it re-inventing the wheel?

I found a cover gallery of Captain America's Golden Age covers here and a gallery of Silver Age Marvel Comics including Cap at this Cover Gallery site... both are great sites!

The Comic Book Database is a great resource a lot of the time... but doesn't always have a plot breakdown.

But I haven't found anything that combines all thee: plot; creators; covers.

The Database is about the closest and I use it all the time when I'm entering my comics and I'm not sure on an uncredited creator.
