Default Would it be possible for Dracula to end up in Fables.

Now I know that he is based off of the real life person known as Vlad but since he is as big of a folk legend as Santa Clause is it that impossible to put him in there if the writers based him off of the Stoker's version?

Or could it be because that he originally was inspired off of a real person that he would qualify as an Urban Legend and that fact would cancel him out as a character in Fables.

I'd say if you went with Dracula, you'd have to include the other famous monsters. It could become an ensemble of the Universal icons with Frankenstein, Wolf Man, Creech, etc.

I think it'd be neat to see Drac, but doubt it'd happen.

Well the last time I checked Frankenstein was introduced in Fables and Bigby Wolf would be considered as the Wolf Man.

I think it could be cool to see Stoker's version of Drac in Fables because I know I could expect to see a really good fight between Bigby and Drac. Yet I doubt he would be in Fables since he does qualify as an Urban Legend.

    You're correct. I made a mistake... :o

Still think it'd be nifty to see Creech, though. :D

Yeah Frankenstein made it into Fables.

Is Stoker's Dracula actually named Vlad? Even if he is, I don't think it matters too much. The whole premise is that they get their power from people knowing their tale, and a whole lot of people know Dracula's tale.

Plus there were Vampire stories long before Stoker, so Dracula could be the personification of all those stories.

I could see that scenario as a better way of incorporating Dracula into the mix.

Maybe Dracula could be this mysterious vampire who doesn't have and actual name and not many of the Fable people know about his Origin since thare are many different interpritations and many versions of Dracula.

If I want to use Usual Suspects as an example he could be Fables version of Keyser Söze.

Back in Fables Vol.1: Legends in Exile there was a prose pieces where Dracula was referenced as someone Bigby had met and shared a few conversations with during his time in the Mundylands after escaping the Fablelands. It was left vague though, and the fact that it was Dracula was more inferred then stated out right.

So, yes, the chances of seeing Dracula at some point are probably pretty good.

So could Dracula be one of the most powerful characters in Fables since his Infamy does seem greater than all the other characters in Fables?

Actually I'd see Dracula as one of the weakest, as his nature may been being deluted and simplified by centuries of Vampire lore.
