Great artist, but during NYX he showed a horrible side to his work ethics that makes me very distant to the guy.

when i talked to him at the Phoenix Comiccon he mentioned having a unnanounced DC project coming up he was working on.

Middleton signed a two-year exclusive contract with DC in - good lord! - June 2004. No new announcements have been made since, so I assume he's still exclusive to DC or is now freelance. Didn't his relationship with Marvel kind of sour near the end? If so, I don't know if he'd go back there any time soon.
DC has a horrible track record of signing artists to exclusives and not getting a whole lot out of 'em. Remember the Art Adams and J. Scott Campbell exclusives, anyone? Middleton's a huge talent, so I find it weird that the only work DC's given him so far is a fairly low-profile mini-series and some covers.
Also, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the delays on NYX were due to the scripts. It's not like the writer is well-known for producing work on time...

Yeah, I think Martin might be riffing on comments Middleton made about Mark Alessi in his Crossgen days. But man, you really can't throw around libellous, potentially damaging accusations like that, even if it is a joke. Originally Posted by innocentboy

I love this guy's work! Can't wait for more interiors by him!
I didn't really care for Superman/Shazam though....I didn't like the story much, and even though the art was superb, I liked NYX a lot more.
NYX got my girlfriend into comics, and now she goes to the shop with me every week!
