I was wondering if antone knew why these issues, along with some from Peter Parker Spider Man, were not reprinted in trades.
Also, I have been having trouble finding some single issues for the ASM series. The ones I have found on ebay have been prices quite high (Some upwards of 20.00 apeice). Is there a reason? Were they short printed?
They probably weren't reprinted in trades because most, if not all of those comics were almost universally despised by fans. If you're at all interested in reading the comics as oppose to collecting them for collectings sake, spend your money elsewhere.

They're not that bad, although there are certainly some cringeworthy elements. I doubt they'll ever be reprinted until the Essentials get up there.
I think one of the main reasons they're expensive is the fact that print runs were at a low then. They occasionally come up on ebay in a lot but if I were you I'd hold back on single issues unless you can get some from local stores or cons.
Yeah, issues 1 - 29 of Amazing Vol 2 and 1 - 19 of PPSM Vol 2 were written by Howard Mackie and were part of the attempted relaunch. It is generally conceived as a complete failure, they sold badly and were widely disliked, because most of them are awful. (In fact, aside from the Green Goblin issue, Amazing #25, I'd almost happily say all of the above range were pretty crappy.)
Once JMS and Paul Jenkins took over with ASM #30/PPSM #20, people started liking them again, and I believe all the issues from then on are collected. But I cannot believe that it would be worth putting in the necessary effort to find the invidual issues, unless, as someone said above, you are a hardcore collector.
