    Default GTA Vice City Stories.

I don't get this game yet for my PSP. I have most of them even Liberty City Stories.:evilsmile But is Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories as good as the other Grand Theft Auto games?

    Short answer: yes.

It's just more of the same really, but if you've played all the other GTAs and aren't sick of them yet, there's no reason you won't dig this one.

Cool. I'm never sick of GTA.

Hey do you buy hideouts like in Vice City?

    They've actually expanded on it.

"That's not to say Rockstar didn't include a series of improvements. The empire-building facet, though reminiscent of purchasing businesses in the first Vice City, is quite significant. After clearing out the house of operations of a rival, you have the option of purchasing then developing one of six business types, including prostitution, loan sharking, and drug running. You earn money for owning these businesses, and you can boost your income by increasing your reputation in each by completing optional missions -- like, say, tracking down and securing stolen merchandise for your smuggling operation. Notably, your funds are delivered directly to you each day; in Vice City, you annoyingly had to return to the place of business if you wanted to collect. As a whole, building an empire turns out to be a robust diversion. You can while away hours taking over the 30 sites and ensuring yourself a handsome income, or you can ignore this and plow through with the missions. Indeed, this represents a huge step over the enjoyable but shallow taxi-driver and chase-the-perp side missions."

Gripe I've had more and more with GTA, why in the blue hell do they keep coming up with the, "Drive an impossible to control and completely non-fun vehicle absolutely perfectly in order to pass," missions. I mean, a forklift. Why am I pretending to drive a forklift on my PSP? I do not dream about driving a forklift. In fact, driving a forklft pretty much just means you made a wrong turn or two in life and have to drive a forklift for a living. Nothing resembling fun about it, so why am I doing it in a video game?

Playing often just reminded me of all the things Scarface did better than GTA. Gunfights and sound were obvious, but Scarface had a lot less of this sort of non-fun BS to deal with. Funny that the big improvement with the businesses that someone just mentioned was in Scarface, except it makes even more sense thanks to the bank/dirty cash dynamic.

I really hope Rockstar gets a copy of Scarface before they're too far into GTAV development to make the right moves.

Well, it's like I said awhile ago, talking about the Scarface game.

not getting it, its not a new game. They will just try to market it as a new game and anyone that thinks it is a new game should seriously stay away from money. Same City, Same game. Just some added parts to make it all flashy, not to mention its controls were poor for Liberty city stories. Dammit they should stop these PSP GTAs and get back to PS2

New story, lots of new characters/development on old ones, lots of new features/tweaks on old ones, modifications to the city, kickass new soundtrack.

They had me at 'new story/characters'. Stuff like 'The Empire' side-quests are simply icing.

And if you're expecting another PS2 GTA, you're out of luck. San Andreas was straight out stated to have been the last PS2 GTA. The next home console iteration will be on a next-generation platform.

I was going to say the same thing. The new GTA game is being made for PS3. And I liked the controls for Liberty city stories it took a little getting used to but it was easy after a while. But it was just a fun game.:D By the way San Andreas was and still is the coolest game ever made. The only controls I don't like was the flying controls. But a hole state to have nothing but fun.:D

Woah San An is the best GTA game but no way best game ever or coolest for that matter.

    What about:

    Halo
    Counterstrike
    Aliens vs Predator 2
    Sonic 2
Oddworld: Abes Odysse & Abes Exodus

I'd have to suggest Deus Ex be added to that list.
