News about the "lull"... and at the same time as the lull in Lost! Ack!

    Updated 10/30/2006

As you've probably noticed, we're entering a bit of a lull in the schedule for Hellboy. While that might disappoint fans, the reason we don't do anything about it is that Mike and I don't want to artificially force anything into the schedule, and so many of our long-underway projects have taken longer than expected.

But the wait will be over soon, and then all our hard work will pay off for those of you looking for more Mignola books. Right now Mike is pretty heavily wrapped up in the second Hellboy film, working in an office with two other artists--Wayne Barlowe and Francisco Ruiz Velasco--on pre-production work for the film. But he's been busy working out scripts and drawing covers for a flurry of comics coming to you in 2007.

Working again with John Arcudi and Guy Davis, Mike launches B.P.R.D.: Garden of Souls in March, as Abe Sapien confronts his past more directly than ever before, and secrets of Daimio's own history . . . [more]

Wow, 2007 is shaping up to be one hell of a year for Hellboy and Co. Simply cannot wait for the plethora of new adventures on their way.

Nice little update. Not a lot of news really, but Scott really made what's going on behind the scenes exciting.

    Thanks ruta.
Wayne Barlowe's creatures are pretty crazy, he should come with some cool stuff for the movie.
Francisco Ruiz Velasco style is great as well, if you've never read Lone Wolf by him, pick it up! The art and story are great!

and cry'n will be pay'n off.

(Otto66 would like to thank Mike Mignola and Scott (BE) Allie
    for mak'n a fanboy's dream come true)

I'm anxious to see what the Abe mini will look like colored. Jason does some gorgeous color work (I own one of his painted pages from Damn Nation) But I wonder if he will be doing the color or if HB/BPRD vet Dave Stewart will be (Love Stewart's color and I think he does a good job of matchinmg the color style to the artwork. He colors differently for BPRD than for Darwin Cooke's New Frontier or HB)

I would imagine Dave Stewart will have a hand in this. He seems to be involved in most things HB universe, where the comics are concerned.
