The first clue had me looking for Wally Wood stuff. And btw, did you know that if you do a search for Wallace Wood on the GCD, you get different results than if you do a search for Wally Wood?

But all of the clues seem to point to a Charlton, mainly because they reused covers in the 80s.

So now I'm thinking it is by Wayne Howard.
They're scientists, Allan. They know what they're doing.

It's just about impossible to disguise a Superman comic or anything drawn by Curt Swan.

That is it - 300 points for CJ.

ROK is right, these Swan covers are tough to disguise but I was hoping people might not be able to pinpoint it so quickly.

Coincidentally, I read this issue last night as it is part of the first DC Showcase Presents volume. The Ghost of Lois Lane story and the Fireman story are pretty lame, but I really enjoyed that initial Lori Lemaris story.

Here is the full cover - new one up soon.

I have no idea how I got this one. I was never a fan of the Kung Fu titles and know little about them. I did have some of the early issues of this title because of the Adams covers, but I don't think I ever read them.

The second image had the look of Marvel lettering and the coloring made me think it might be a magazine with a painted cover.

I started with Deadly Hands because it seemed the most likely to have a bright color like this.

And I guess clean living helps.

Oh yeah, and Cherokee Jack gets 300 points for his Superman answer, not 200.
