There's also a neat surprise on page 3...
I agree with you about Nextwave Rick. I'm a huge fan of the series and lament its untimely demise. I'm glad that Stuart won't be put out to pasture though, as he'll soon be working on (I believe) Ultimate Spiderman. Now that, should be interesting.

BTW Rick, I'm logged into the drawingboard site, but I can't see any of Stuart's amazing artwork (or any images beyond avatars)! Any idea why that might be?

Those images are directly linked to Stuart's Flickr account and not to the Drawing Board. It could be that they reached their viewing quota. Try right-click-saving the images.

I'm also looking forward to his work on Ultimate Spider-Man, although I was reading Nextwave as much for Warren Ellis as I was for Immonen. Bendis (is that who's writing it?) hasn't really hooked me since his independent stuff.

If I must say what's my all time favourite comics series, it's very likely Monsieur Jean by Dupuy & Berberian. Last week I got two books, published in English by Drawn & Quarterly. One of them is Get A Life, which collects first 3 albums. (There are 7 out in France by now if I'm not out of date.) Other one I got is Maybe Later, black and white diary-type album about hard times when making third Jean book. This was the book I haven't read before and it turned out to be as good as series! They are smaller than originals, but both are very nice hardback editions.

I also got Bopbot and The Walking Dead collections and trying to read them now... Another book I'd really like to recommend is Blankets by Craig Thompson. His Carnet De Voyage (Travel Journal) about travelling in Europe and Africa is also very interesting read.

Hey! I want to play too --

Just finished Clan Destine and Iron Man:Enter the Mandarin -- both so great.
    Fantastic Four
    Godland
The new Eternals series -- I can't tell yet if it's any good, but it sure is pretty

    ummm...
the Hellboy/BPRD stuff, of course... does anyone remember Guy Davis's Nevermen series? I just re read that - great textury feel.
The Shadow reprint pulps (I'm just starting the Golden Pagoda)
    100 Bullets in TPB's
Blade of the Immortal in TPB's as well
and any older Donald Duck's I can get my hands on! HAHA
OH! And anything Darwyn Cooke draws -- his line work is so great :)

I'm rereading a ton of stuff from my boxes these days too -- Jason
