Default Hellboy; Sword of Storms trading cards

    Hellboy:Sword of Storms trading cards

Is this new or old news for folks here? I'm looking forward to them, none the less :)

My personal wish is that Mr. Mignola's artwork one day gets released in it's own full set of trading cards. I have the Dracula cards, a Star Wars card and 3 from the Universal Monsters release from a few years ago. Now, I would really like to see a Mike Mignola HB, Abe, etc,, in card form.

I'd rather have Mike Mignola designed playing cards.

That would be cool. I remember wanted Mignola drawn tarot cards a few years back.

But I'm a trading card freak and cannot wait for the SoS cards to come out :)

Oh, you'd buy an exploding toilet seat if Mignola designed it :p

They're including a bunch of hand drawn sketch cards in this release. One of which is by Mike himself- http://www.inkworks.com/products/hel...rtistbios.html

I'm not too thrilled with the overall quality of them (at least based on what they're showing here), but I think I'd poo my pants if I got the Mignola sketch card :)

Anybody else get their cards yet? For prosperity's sake (and collectibility's sake) I'm hesitant to actually open the sealed box I got and just order an already opened set for my own display purposes. But the suspense is killing me :/

The only place I've seen them yet was at the Dark Delicacies signing event. They were only selling by the pack, not by the box, but I got four packs. And one had a sketch card in it! It's a pretty cool color Abe drawing by John Czop, who I hadn't heard of. Looks like it's drawn with magic markers. I thought about getting Doug to sign it, but there's not really a place to do so without messing up the art.

Anyone else get a sketch card yet? Please share!

Cool. John Czop does a lot of sketch cards. Whether it's just for Inkworks or not I'm not sure. But his stuff is pretty good. The first time I became aware of him was with all the Star Trek cards of his that I've seen.

I got my HB cards (and most of my cards) through mail order from here- www.warp9cards.com I highly recommend them for their prompt and attentive service.

I probably will crack mine open if only to see if I got a Mignola in there somewhere :)

I have one of the promo cards from this series, given to me by my friend/owner of my local comic book store, but I have to find and buy a pack.
