I read my first issue of Testament last week, totally on impulse because the cover and content seen on my flip-through suggested it was going to be an interesting twist on biblical stories. I wasn't disappointed. Perplexed, but definitely intrigued.
So I picked up the trade of the first five issues last night (at a very affordable $9.99 ... cheaper than buying the individual issues!) and read the author's preface this morning. What an interesting take. The Bible as a continuously evolving narrative, best told over again by new generations, technology's influence on how the Bible is perceived.
I'm going to brace myself for some potentially offensive views on the scriptures, but I'm willing to see what he has to say and will read with an open mind.
Anybody here enjoying this title?
