The good side of alternate covers
Dynamite Entertainment sent me a copy of their latest RED SONJA trade paperback. I haven't read it yet, though the art is very nice. (Oeming wrote it, and I think it's Mel Rubi drawing it.)
But here's the nice thing about doing so many alternate covers for every issue of a comic: The trade paperback has a most impressive gallery in the back. It's dozens of pages of Red Sonja pin-ups by top names in the field. Rather impressive.

Robots Vs. Zombies.
Sometimes it's groovy. Getting back to the Udon Street Fighter book, that was the first time some of those covers saw reprint. I love when the alternate covers get placed in the back as extras, but I can't stand when they aren't.

Inanimate Carbon Rod
The Marvel Zombies hardcover had all those nice Sudyam covers, and also had a page with the original covers that were referenced, which was cool. I liked the various reprints used for Spider-man:The Other that were also reprinted in the HC. Even though they were basically the same image, who can say no to Spider-Ham?

Yeah, but the Marvel Zombies were for all the various printings. I almost bought the Spidey: Other covers just for the heck of it.
Hey Augie - is there a pinup of RS by Brunner? One that looks like this:

There is a Brunner cover in there, but not that one.
