Default So where *are* Wally West and family now?

Wally West, the third Flash, disappeared with his family (wife Linda and their twin newborn children) while assisting in containing Superboy Prime during INFINITE CRISIS.

Where did he go? He knew it wasn't the Speed Force. It's not death exactly. Where is Wally and family and when will we be hearing more from them?

Also, Barry Allen, Max Mercury, and Johnny Quick briefly emerged from the Speed Force and resumed corporeal form during INFINITE CRISIS. Are they truly not dead and capable of, under extraordinary resources, resuming their physical lives on Earth?

The responses are as predictable as they are sad.

It's only proper that a Flash dies every time there's a Crisis.

So it's pretty much guaranteed that Bart will die, 20 years from now?

Haha, I hope not, but probably.

The current Flash writers said that Wally's story will definitely be told and soon, but judgeing by the way they said it, I dont think they'll be the ones who tell it.

Issue 6 is supposed to drop a big clue about it tho.

When reading Justice League #0 after the mention of them discovering a second earth I latched onto this idea: Wally and Linda are living and raising the twins on the as yet undiscovered Earth-2 and to boot Wally is the top dog hero there ala Superman on our Earth. And whenever they tell the story of discovering the new Earth Wally will be there wondering what the heck took everyone so long.

I suppose these days each generation get's their own Flash...

I am sure when Wally became Flash everyone was pining for Barry to come back..

The biggest saving grace was the fact that Wally and Barry had very different personalities... I am not sure that Bart is showing such a difference to Wally

Very true. Let Bart develop his own personality and his worthiness to take up the mantle because it felt like he's not yet ready for it. And of course (it's my turn) BRING BACK WALLY! :D

I think we'll find our Wally answer in that Superboy Prime/All Flash thing or whatever it's called.

Really? I wonder who will, then.

I doubt they could resume their physical bodies. The only time they ever show up is when the Speed Force is breached (hasn't Wally seen Barry and Johnny before this way?), and that's only a temporary thing. As soon as the Speed Force closes back up again, they go back too. Maybe they're not actually corporeal, maybe they're just temporary Speed Force bodies.

Apparently there are a few clues in the Infinite Crisis novelisation. Things that the ex-Earth-2 Lois Lane and Wonder Woman say in their final scenes, and especially some info from Alex Luthor, have a few additions to what was said in the comics. These additions line up with the "somewhere else" line from Wally.

I'm gunning for the Earth-2 to be discovered in the nearish future, as shown in JLA #0. It was found by "Flash". If it's not Wally West, I'm gonna be very very very disappointed.

Waiting for Geoff Johns to write the Return of Wally West. Which is going to come.
