Default ASOH on Sci-Fi- What happened with this?

Does anyone know what did or did not ever happen with Amazing Screw-On Head becoming an actual show on the Sci-Fi channel? Did I miss an important bulletin or memo? I saw the pilot and filled out the survey, but as far as I know it never made it to TV.

It made it to TV, but I don't know if it's been greenlit for production of a full season yet. I've been asking the same question.

Evidently, SciFi Channel passed on it. It's being shopped around.

I thought it was a good solid adaptation, but to be honest, i like my animated fare more along the lines of Homer J., and hopefully Tad Hellboy, though i will have to wait until Feb to buy the dvd...

I agree. I applaud Sci-Fi for trying to do it, but I think the final product left something to be desired. Maybe they'll look outside the box a bit in the future and approach it again down the line. I'll certainly watch it if they do.

I thought it was great and I'm disappointed it didn't get picked up.

I agree,ASOH is something special. It's not perfect, but what is these days....It's a hell of a lot better than some of the drivel we are exposed to.....Thanks Mike, and thanks to all the Cast and Crew of the Pilot for making it happen, you most assuredly rock.

I liked it, too. It wasn't flawless, but, like the Hellboy movie, it was nice to see a comic I liked on screen, in spite of all the times I mumbled "uuggghh...why did they do that"

    Just posted on CBR.
"RT: What's going on with "Amazing Screw-On Head?" Critics loved it, but then it didn't do too well in the ratings. I heard a rumor you guys wanted it at Cartoon Network now.

BF: Mark Stern at the Sci Fi Channel was the lone champion of the show. Everyone else at Sci Fi didn't get it. Now we are waiting very patiently for our pass from Sci Fi so we can take it to Adult Swim.

It was a very different experience than what I was used to doing with live action, and I would love to continue. We have three backup scripts. They are as bizarre and interesting as the pilot. We have Emperor Zombie working with Darwin on Galapagos Island determining that the ultimate evolution is zombification; we have Screw-On Head encouraging Indians to assimilate to the ways of the white man only to discover they've taken it too far - horrifically too far; those sorts of stories. It is a new way to do a twisted soap opera. Hopefully, the show will find a home on another network."

I'm rooting for it personally. I might actually start watching CN regularly if they get the series going there.
