Whoa, is that very Eaglesham? His art has very improved with his work since penciling Villains United.

The first issue looks good, I've always been a fan of JSA ut never actually bought the book. For some reason I always get JLA. Though if Hourman, Doctor Mid-Nite, and Sand (love his new suit) aren't on the team I'm dropping it.

"37!" "In a row?"
I touched a Liefield comic once and devoloped skin cancer a year later:(
I'll try it no matter what, but those first panels look way too similar to JLA #0...

My guess would be Hourman (Rick Tyler). In the last series, it was hinted at that they could turn into an item. More than likely they married during the missing year. I noticed Hourman wasn't in the OYL later story done by Levitz. Who wants to bet he was not there because he and Jesse were on their honeymoon?Originally Posted by protege
I like the cover. Reminds me of the cover to All-Star Squadron #1. I wouldnt be surpised if thats the idea.
I'm looking forward to this series.

where's that sketch drawing of them two together with damage lookin all jealous? that was awesome.
LOL... where's Dr. Mid-Nite sticking his hand into. Looks they took his picture during a self-examination. :D
Looks awesome. And I actually like how it's similar to JLA #0. It makes sense to me to start these two books over again the same year and parallel to one another. I'm interested to see where this is going to go.
okay I'm sold. I was a bit hesitant, but the preview has toppled me off the fence into the yes camp.
So when was this World War III they mention? Is that infinite crisis or are they referring to something in 52?
I love all three of those characters, but as long as Wildcat is there I'm in. Honestly, other than the current Mr Terrific I don't dislike any of the members. And even then my dislike for him is strictly based on his look. It reminds me of the "extreme 90s" and that doesn't really fit with the rest of the team.Originally Posted by Hellstormer

Um... Oh. O_O
Oh, I see...
From the interviews I read (could be on Newsarama) this was definitely the idea.Originally Posted by LordEd1976
Anyway, I cannot wait for this series. JSA has always been my favourite DC team.
"Witness the return of the world's greatest hero"? That should be interesting. Who can they mean?
I'm not sure I like all this stuff about Power Girl being the "sole survivor" of a parallel universe - all the JSA come from the same place!
But I love that Liberty Belle's daughter is in the new team. I was a big fan of the All Star Squadron back in the 80s (which I would love DC to do again, showing what happened during WWII in post-Crisis continuity). My memory of the original Liberty Belle was that her powers were enhanced speed and strength, directly linked to the ringing of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.
But I don't remember her being a 'powerhouse' - not in the way that Wonder Woman or Power Girl are. I always saw her powers being more along the lines of Hourman. So it will be interesting to see what Jesse's power levels are, and also who her husband is!
But mostly, I am looking forward to seeing how the JSA is positioned in the new universe, and how the team's role will be different to the JLA. It must be an incredibly difficult comic to write, because unlike other super teams, the JSA and JLA will always be directly compared because - originally - they were parallel versions of the same team on different earths.
But the other members had their histories folded into the history of New Earth, so they actually were born there and spent all their lives there, though they now have the "infamous" vague memories of the other timeline. Power Girl spent part of her life on Earth 2, then was dumped on New Earth as an adult with confusing and contradictory memories. In that way, she is the sole survivor of Earth 2.Originally Posted by Mulett
