The Black Widow doesn't have spider powers, period. She has a line thing she can swing on and 'stingers' which are energy blasters. That's it.Originally Posted by Peter Parker
like black widow as character, but never saw her in the spidey universum or with spider powers either
You mean arthropods. Just stick a "spider" or spider species to the name and instantly people try and make a connection to Spidey. We'd have to include the Scorpions as an extended family because they're arachnids too. Then further on insects for the arthropod clan.
But a Spider family or team one-shot would be cool, maybe they can face off with the Serpent Society.
Nope, annelids.Wait, leeches are gastropods, right?
Johnny Storm was dead; who is this resurrected Johnny Storm?
"Here, hold my Annihilus…" Johnny Storm, Fantastic Four #601
Black Widow? no
Arana ? Sortof, at least that was the goal when she became Spider-Girl don't think it was successful.
Black Cat? Yes, she's the Catwoman of the Spider-Man family of characters. (wether shes currently appearing in his books or not)

I could see a professional relationship develop between Spider-Man and The Black Widow. It would be cool to have her and Spider-Woman as part of the Spider-Family. But a true Spider-Man family could comprised of 6 allies from other realities as part of the core group. And when I mean by alternate reality allies joining in, I mean by people who are Spider-Man's respective counterpart's children whose mothers are super heroines. They would unite with Spider-Man 616 against a common enemy.

Until recently, The Black Widow didn't respect Spider-Man because the way other writers have portrayed her and Spidey in The Avengers. If a person like Silver Sable can learn to respect Spider-Man and his abilities, then the Black Widow will want to have a partnership with him. And with them working together in the current story arc, I feel that it will convince The Black Widow once and for all that Spider-Man is a man who falls into the Winter Soldier/Daredevil category. Men who she respects. My opinion is that The Black Widow should have been Spider-Man first costumed relationship after ASM #86. And Silver Sable rarely gives glowing reviews about anyone. Thus Silver's words carries a lot of weight. And The Black Widow has witnessed a side to Spider-Man that she has never seen before: A man who is very resourceful like Bucky and Matt Murdock. Those are the types of people that Natasha is attracted to.
