I don't know what it is exactly, maybe the characters he's interacting with, but I'm not feeling her "bastard" John. In fact, he's been incredibly amiable with people he's never even met before the "Empathy" storyline. I hope he pulls something ridiculously underhanded by the end of "Red Right Hand," or I'll feel let down.
Mina's done a decent job, though, especially following a tough act like Carey.Go !@#$ yourself.
