    Default Recolored EC?

Your review of the Weird Science archive notes that "Perhaps most controversially, the EC ARCHIVES have all been recolored. Using Marie Javins' original work as the guide,"

Ummm ... From a quick Google glance, I guess Marie Javins (whom I've never heard of, but then I'm pretty much a Silver & Bronze Age guy) is indeed a comics colorist, but perhaps you meant the great Marie Severin, who AFAIK was EC's colorist (& a heckuva artist in her own right over the ensuing decades)?

Yes, Dan. Thanks for the correction. There was a Marie Javins at Marvel in the late-80s/early-90s. I got the names confused. Javins is famous for her wall full of cows drawn by Marvel artists of the day, and her recent trips around the world, which she even wrote a book about.

    See: http://mariejavins.blogspot.com/

    And Jim Lee's cow: http://gelatometti2.blogspot.com/200...w-tipping.html

And you just never know who will pop up at any given time around here, do you?

Thanks, Marie! And, hey, you wouldn't want to land a coloring job at Gemstone sometime soon just to make me look like a prophet, would you? ;-)

Thanks, Marie. My sanity is restored. Or, at the very least, my name confusion isn't completely unwarranted.

    Whew.
