WTF???? Anyway it's basically the x-team are talking and such and minding thier own business until puff comes cable. He uses all sorts of electronics to disable people's powers until wolverine shows up. Next scene you see cable popping his own claws like logan and says this "I've survived 30 years without a healing factor and I just don't pop these claws just for anyone BUB".

Expressions: Cable is wolverine wtf!!!!!!!! Seriously now 30 years without a healing factor and surviving all that time without being poisoned by admantium? How? Is'nt it suppose to be poison to the human body like 616 version logan kept alive cause of his healing factor?

    Any way discuss ahead.

I belive that Cable is a clone that Sabertooth took a peice of Wolverine to create. I hope there is more to it than that. It not too suprizing I kinda supected it when Sabertooth showed up in 74.

That is what I was thinking that others would think as well, hell I thought it myself, but it is kinda interesting to me. Maybe because im just getting into Ultimates, but than again, I always liked Cable and Wolverine, so maybe its just Bais(sp?) Anyway, we shall see whats really up soon, I hope.

Sounds weird. How is the McKeever back-up?

For some reason I'm just not that into UXM. The last arc had one good issue and I was kind of looking forward to Ultimate Cable, but the ending of this issue has just killed that for me. I hope some thing else happens here. I dont want a clone or Wolverine 30 years in the future.

You gonna get us out of here. With that tight-ass Wolverine outfit on. Now, let's make it happen, asshole

So...Ultimate Cable is essentially X-23, sans the perky teenage breasts?

i actually picked up the book...
overall i liked it and the art was great, simple but very effective...

the cloned wolverine theory could have some merit...i figured he would at least be a future version of wolverine as soon as i saw the picture of the claw scars...either that or a future scott summers...

i'll probably follow the rest of this story and then drop the book as planned...

Wow, first they try to screw up the Scott/Jean/Cable connection in the 616 Universe and now this occurs... :(

I honest to god expected cable to be a sort of son of spider-man and kitty pride and thier trying to create a weapon like ninja guy from the two. Spidey with the best agility with spider-sense and to add strength and the rest a good ninja like character while adding Kitty's phasing through and presto a Ultimate ninja. But damn I didn't see this coming of Cable being wolvie himself.

There had damn well better be a cool background to his story and on what's happening in the future.

Exactly (and thank you for the Astonishing X-Men shout out)!!!

And how about that damn akward scene between Petey and Kitty? Just what exactly did Peter want to say to her?

And how about that idiotic scene where Petey (while in human form) punches Cable and is then surprised Cable isn't knocked out. I'm at work at the moment so I don't have the issue in front of me...
Petey : how are you still conscious after I punched you
    Cable: I'm covered in metal

Insert "Yeahbuhwhat" into the next panel please. Was Colossus supposed to be drawn armored up? That's what I'm thinking. Otherwise, Petey's hand would have most likely broke when punching someone with adamantium laced bones. At the very least, Petey should have cried out in pain.

Someone please explain this to me.
