can't we even get a No Confidence/None Of The Above option? That'd at least make ME feel better.
Term limits
Giving people time off work on Election day(holiday)
Using Proportion Repersentation in House of Repersentives?
Term Breaks?
Creating a watchdog agency like a police department Internal affairs?
getting rid of the electoral college
abolishing party names and incumbant labels from the ballot
harsher pentalies for politicans
full public funding of elections
Require incumbants to pass a confindence vote to get on ballot
can't we even get a No Confidence/None Of The Above option? That'd at least make ME feel better.

The problem is, nobody would *EVER* get elected that way.Originally Posted by (A)//(E)
What I'd like to see is if "None of the Above" wins, the election is reheld in 30 days, but none of the people who ran before can run again. The people have said "NO WAY".
But we'd just have elections every 30 days that way.
Agreed, people having to choose between the lesser of two evils, or between a douche and a turd sandwich, is the only way it seems that anyone gets elected.
Being Canadian, during Federal elections I've found myself in this situation. Being rather dismayed with the national parties I've found myself having to vote based on the qualifications of my local representatives. One is ineffective, the other I know personally and is a jackass and a bit of a bigot and the third is someone whose politics I do not agree with. In the end I either don't vote, which I feel wrong about for some reason, or I make the choice between the lesser of three evils.

I've always thought we needed to mandate fair and equal coverage, regardless of how much money the campaign has. Every public radio and television station must, as a consequence of their FCC license, air 2 30-second commercials per officially registered candidate, per day, at no fee. The candidates cannot buy additional airtime. All officially registered candidates must take part in all debates, anyone who refuses is taken off the ballot.Originally Posted by SOGG

No worries. But I'm sorry to say that I've already named a character after you that gets killed off horrible for his insolence.
Nah, just kidding.

they should all be Clay Davis from The Wire; for the sake of entertainment.
