Transformers Evolutions: Great Premise Bad Execution

Okay I picked up this series because i was looking for another Series that was neither marvel or dc I was originally going for Star Wars Legacy butafter missing the first issue and showing up to the store seven hours after comic came out on wednesday to find out that it was already sold out and then I spotted it.

A stark white cover with a bumble bee looking sketch that looked something like a train. I was captivated so i purchased it on a whim. The premise was simple. Bumble Bee wakes up early and though the others warn him against it he goes out to explore the world where he meets John Henry and Sam Clemens. Mean while Shock Wave and Star Scream team up with a bunch of money grubbing humans who in order to make some easy money, assisst the decepticons.

The ideal is great and all but there were no real great battles. most of the robots were in their robot form and not their vehicle mode. the ones that were were pretty neat (gimme toys of these please and not toy versions of dirt monger and jet stream) if the movie adapted the characters to look like these then i would have less objections.

and how did it end how did the mighty autobots defeat the evil decepticons. [SPOILER]John Henry hits the lever that triggers the switch track and causes the decepticons train to take the corner too fast and carean off the tracks into the raveen below.[/SPOILER]

About the same as you. Neat premise, some fun bits, but a lame, lame ending. Sadly, it's probably the best TF series IDW's put out so far. Unlike the other ones, this one felt like it was an issue too short, as opposed to an issue (or four) too long. I actually wanted to see more beyond where the story cut off.

I think there is a chance there will be an evolutions season two or series too. maybe taking place in a defferent time period. I wish they would put out toys of thes characters though. even some maquettes or how ever thats spelled
