Famke Jansen in Iron Man?

Hi all,

I don't know if this is new 4 you guys or not. But here in this mornings newspaper (in the Netherlands) was told the makers of Ironman approached Famke Jansen to play the female leading role in Ironman. It's not clear to me WHICH role it is. She is approached and they are waiting for an answer.

Madame Mask maybe?

It would be a bit weird seeing her in another marvel movie since in my head I place the X-Men universe in the same one as the Iron Man one.

On Friday, we brought you the brilliant news that Robert Downey Jr. has officially signed on to play Tony Stark and his alter-ego Iron Man. Today CanMag is reporting that Famke Janssen may be cast to play Stark's love interest in Iron Man.

The idea is of course, rather attractive. Famke's worked with Iron Man director Jon Favreau several times in the past. They have a history together. Perhaps that's why CanMag was so quick to report it.

Famke as Madame Mask would be a perfect fit since she does alot of those femme fatale movies but I could also see her as those Batman/Bond movie chicks that appear only for one movie as Tony's love interest.

My first thought was the Black Widow and then quickly followed by Bethany Cabe. I did not think of Madame Mask though until i read it here.

I'd prefer her to be Beth Cabe, but I reckon she may be playing Pepper Potts, his secretary.

I agree. I see someone more like Renee Zellweger or Lauren Ambrose playing Pepper Potts.
