    Default Pipeline #486 - 03 October 2006

This week's column: A look at the front half of the PREVIEWS catalog. I wanted to go further and get the whole book done in one fell swoop this month, but I ran out of time and energy.

So, next week -- the rest of PREVIEWS, and I promise more than just that. I'll make sure to toss in a review or some commentary on something along the way to break it up.

Default A very special Pipeline Podcast

Over the weekend, Pmpknface (that's Jamie) and I recorded a special podcast devoted entirely to the latest PREVIEWS catalog. It's more than just a dry recitation of What's Coming Out, as we discuss different formats, statues, forced perspective, artists who deserve a break, and a whole lot more.

The whole thing ran nearly an hour, but I plan on cutting a minute or two out somewhere to help trim it down. I'll be posting the show later in the week -- right now, I'm aiming for Thursday night.

The regular Pipeline Podcast is still scheduled for Tuesday night to discuss this week's comics. Stay tuned. . .

Already placed my Previews order. It was a slow month for me. No prose novels or anything beyond just the comics.

As soon as the podcast goes up, I'll be sure to mention it on here for you all.

Or, just keep testing the waters at ThePipelinePodcast.com to look for an update, though I tend to not update that one right away all the time.

Sounds cool. Now I have something to listen to while sitting in the hotel in Tokyo this week.

Believe, me there's PLENTY to listen to. And we could have gone on for a while.

    Hope you dig it! :D

I haven't checked out that podcast yet, but I read the column - there's a Captain Caveman figure? OMG. I too might have to order one of those.

The regular weekly Pipeline Top Ten List of a podcast is now up. With any luck, the show notes should be available in the morning. If you're subscribed to the feed, download away!

Editing on the Pipeline Previews Podcast began in earnest last night. (It's been a BAD week.) Sorry to say, it's not done yet. I plan on getting more editing done tonight, and possibly even get it posted before I take a long night's sleep. Sorry for the delay, everyone, but it looks like it'll be up this weekend at some point.

Me so jealous of your three day weekend.

Sorry about stringing this podcast thing out so long. It came on a bad week. But now that that job interview is done and I don't have to "study" for it, I have plenty of free time on my hands again. Well, SOME free time, at least.

I'm going home to NY (north of the city) tonight and I'll be hitting the TOOL concert on Saturday. 3rd row too!!! :D

Other than that, just seeing various family members, drinking, and watching football (not necessairly in that order) are what's on tap for me and my 3 days.

Then I'm taking off Friday to go to NH/VT, Keene area. NOW you can be jeaolous. :D
