What is the best X-Book ?

This list of X-Books will only be the main 4 . If anyone else wants to they can do a list of what they feel is the best of the X-Books.

Uncanny X-Men :

The moment Ed Brubaker came on you could hear fanboys in a state of " can he top his act on Deadly Genesis & Captain America ? "

In short, he has. His 1st 4 parts of his 12 part " Fall of the Shi'Ar Empire " has seen a new team made up of Warpath , Havok , Marvel Girl , Polaris and Nightcrawler in space to stop Gabriel.

The best moments of this is the arrogance of the Shi'Ar and how they feel towards the X-Men and Xavier in general. Seems they haven't been so happy about what happened when Cassandra Nova mind controlled Lilandra. So Xavier's like public enemy 1# in space.

From the developement of Rachel in space to how Darwin feels that Xavier is over protective of him. This is an awesome title.

Astonishing X-Men

The only problem with Astonishing is the fact the series comes out on a wierd schedule. Its late and delayed a lot. Which sucks because art wise , story telling wise and all , AXM is perhaps the best monthly X-Book in all.If only Whedon could deliver it on a monthly schedule.

The latest arc has Cassandra Nova using Emma Frost with a new Hellfire Club. With Emma's mind betrayal ( theres 2 Emma's now lol) we see her make Wolverine into a scared puppy , make Hank McCoy into a real beast and nearly kill Scott Summers !

Of course Kitty Pryde gets the best of " Our Emma " and drags her into a cavern where she can't leave. While she tries to take out the others as Nova wants freed from where she was at.

In all AXM seems to be more of a Colossas/Kitty type series with both characters getting lots of face time. Fans of the 2 must be happy for this.

New X-Men

The moment Decimation happened , the world changed and the young Academy X kids were pushed into a harder direction. As Wolverine said in the Stryker arc " Eithor they grow up or they die. "

With odes paid to the past ( Forge , Stryker , Nimrod ) we have a series that weaves tomorrows X-Men into facing older threats. People have knocked it , but thus far the " nobodies safe " mantra has made this a hot read. Because you really don't know who will get bumped off next.

Best Character : X-23

Worst Character : Surge


X-Men

I pretty much kissed Marvel's ass when they annouced Peter Milligan was being taken off this series. His series had became a joke. Under Mike Carey , he seems to have a fresh spin on these characters and its welcomed.

The latest arc has new evolved humans ( Supernovas) facing off with the X-Men. With a new addition of Sabertooth who seeks refuge at the Mansion the team prepares to do battle with these new villains. Sarafina looks like a new interesting villain and has became drawn to Sam Guthrie ( who finally gets character time....Thank God ) and Sabertooth actually has a reason to be there.

New Excalibur

Marvel relaunched this series last year after House of M and as a Claremont series it was better than his Genosha Excalibur. His sickness de-railed the series but thus far the book seems in capable hands of Frank Teri. In his run he has revamped Chamber and brought in the Black Knight for this latest arc.

Its a poll with 3 books. This isn't a poll and is people naming more than Astoning X-Men , X-Men and Uncanny. They could name Wolverine or Cable/Deadpool if need be.

How is New X-men one of the main books? Is it because it has the word "X-men" in it? Change the title to New Mutants and all of a sudden it becomes clear that this book is a spin-off title.

Exactly...I wanted a reason why they like each title. Give an explanation on their favorite character and non-favorite. That should have been a 5 at tthe top of the page.

Hell you don't have to use the same list I did. Its a subjective list anyhow.
