What has been going on with the Hulk growing at certain times. I noticed it in the movie that came out in 2003. Also I noticed it in the first Ultimate Avengers animated movie. It seem liked when in this movie Hulk was fighting Thor, it looked like Hulk was growing during the fight since their fight first started. Is this something new? I have never known the Hulk to grow, he just stayed his normal size.

His power and size increaes the more angry he gets.
That's why the longer a fight lasts the more in goes in the favour of Hulk (Even though he starts off with a hard start in most cases).

Anyways, you also have to take artistic license into account with the Hulk's size. Some artists pump him up larger than others. (For that matter, I guess even Spider-Man varies in size/build between different pencillers)

It's pretty much been said that Hulk's size and strenght increase with his anger.
I've heard somewhere that his height tops off at 9 feet, but I've never actually seen it.
Still, 9 feet of Hulk is a heck of a lot of Hulk.

I thought the signature line was, "The madder he gets, the stronger he gets." I don't remember it saying anything about him growing. His size does change, depending upon the artist, but officially I don't think he gets bigger. The Savage Hulk for years would get mad, and stronger, and his size stayed constant. I think the growing thing is a recent development.
