I do! Michelle Pfiefer was good but not exactally Catwoman material since the REAL Catwoman is a brunette and not a blonde, at least Newmar with Lee Meriwether were perfect for the part of her in the classic series.

Obviously the Adam West serial has some fans here but since when does CAMP=DEFINITIVE?
Well i'm just saying that she's a better live-action Catwoman then her or Halle Berry.
I'm with Corky on this one. Catwoman on the original TV series captured the vibe (and the look, at least to my eyes) far better than either of the beautiful, super-famous movie stars have.
That's damning with faint praise.
Just because the movies had awfully inaccurate Catwomen that doesn't mean that anyone involved in the tv series was the definite anything.
There hasn't been a definite Catwoman. Maybe we'll get one in one of the new movies.
That said, Newmar was by far the best of them.
I know I'm in the minority here, but I realllly think the Eartha Kitt Catwoman was the sexiest! Maaaan she definitely had the purrrr-fect voice for it!
Out of the women who've played Selina, Julie Newmar is my fave, although I've been crushing on Michelle Pfieffer since

Grease 2.
But I do agree with carabas in that there's never been a 'definitive' Catwoman, just as there's not been a 'definitive' Batman. Bale's better than Keaton/Kilmer/Clooney/West, and Begins kicked much ass, but let's see what the next film offers before we start heaping praise on him...
"Definitive" Catwoman from TV or the movies?
That's easy.
Free your soul and let it fly....
Seconded. Eartha Kitt was the better TV Catwoman. And very much like the Catwoman in the comic book at the time.Originally Posted by Sabrinaset

I'd agree with this but wasn't her portrayal based primarily on Michelle Pfeifer?Originally Posted by DonC

I own the Batman movie, and she was pretty good there. Da, da.

I’ve got to say that while West and Ward were debatable as the definitive anything, with the exception of Caesar Romero as the Joker, most of the Bat-Villains from the television were spot on perfect and almost certainly the definitive versions of those characters.
Newmar is the definitive Catwoman, although Earhta Kit was good fun too. And can anyone really argue that Burgess Meredith wasn’t the living embodiment of the Penguin? Or that Frank Gorshin wasn’t the only one who ever managed to make the Riddler seem threatening?
Sure the show had it’s fair share of loser badguys, but those three actually managed to make something from their roles that has lasted in the public consciousness and certainly helped define how the characters would be portrayed for generations to come.

John Glover says hello.Or that Frank Gorshin wasn’t the only one who ever managed to make the Riddler seem threatening?
And the fact that this debate/discussion is till going on, lo these many years later, proves that point exactly.
I think he meant live action. Though it is pretty close between John Glover and Frank Gorshin IMO. Yes for me Julie Newmar, Frank Gorshin and Burgess Meradith were the definative Catwoman, Riddler and Penguin. Cesar Romero wasn't quite definative, but if you pay attention, you'll notice that the person who does what most people (and I) consider to be the definative voice of the Joker (Mark Hamil) put just a smidgen on Cesar into the voice.Originally Posted by GoGo Yubari
