Default Master List of Team-Up books.

Cause, God help me, I think I'm gonna try to collect them all.

I consider a team-up book as an Ongoing series, usually featuring Two heroes, one of which rotates on an issue to issue basis. I'm also only looking for American comics.

Therefore: I'm not interested in limited series, such as Elektra/Wolverine or the Flash/Green Lantern or Green Arrow/Question Brave and the Bold Series.

Or team books, although I'm MORE curious about team books with a rotating cast, like Secret Defenders or Suicide Squad.

OR books that feature the same two characters teaming up in every issue, like Superman/Batman or Daredevil/Black Widow or Cloak and Dagger.

So I'm tryin' to put together a comprehensive list of comics that meet this criteria. I'd like to have 'em all in SOME format, be it Trade, Essential Volume, or reprint.

So I'd like to run this list by CBR an' see if I'm MISSING any comics that should be on the list. I'm especially curious for books that are not by Marvel or DC, since I can't think of any. Although I'm probably not buying "Spawn team-up," cause I think early Image is really doofy.

Also, of those books I don't have, I'm wonderin' which issues you all think were particularly good or worth collecting.

Usually, a team-up book will feature the names of it's two leads on the cover. But not always. However, any book with "Team Up" in the title is a given.

    Uncompleted Runs

Brave and the Bold: 50-200. NOT 57 and 58? Rotating cast till # 73? but ALL Batman team-upsafter. have: Most of 96-140. Maybe 3-5 issues from before and 3-5 issues from after that.

    Marvel Team-up (vol 1
): 1-150. Mostly Spider-man leads, with a few Human Torch leads between 18 and 35, and a few Hulk leads later. Also one Aunt May lead. I have: All but about 15 scattered issues. I've READ every issue of this series.

Marvel Two-In-One: 1-100. All Thing leads. I have: A little more than half of these, widely scattered.

    DC Comics Presents: 1-97.
All Superman leads. I have: 19 scattered issues, by my count. This series especially, I'd like to know if there are any issues y'all found particularly good.

    World's Finest: 198-210. Superman leads. I have 198, 199 reprinted and 200.

    World's Finest: 250?-279?
Dollar comics with some scattered rotating cast team-ups in the back up features. I know there's a Green Arrow/Hawkman and a Wonder Woman/Sgt. Rock team-up, and there could be more.

    Marvel Team-up Annual: 1-7. Spider-man and Hulk leads. I have: 1, 2, 3, 6.

    Marvel Two-In One Annual: 1-7.
    Thing leads. I have: 1.

    Mighty Marvel Team-Up Thrillers: 1. Squarebound. I have: Don't. I think there's a Stan Lee intro, or I wouldn't bother.

    Western Team-up: 1.
I have: Nada. Haven't even seen a copy.

    DC Comics Presents Annual: 1-4.
    Superman Leads. I have: None.

    Super-Team Family:
    2-3, 11-15: Rotating Cast. I have: 2-3.

    Action Comics: 584-600. Superman leads. I have:584-599.

    Spider-man Team-up 1-7: I have: None.

    Marvel Team-up(vol 2.) 1-11: Spider-man leads through 7, Sub-mariner leads thereafter. I have: None.

Deadpool Team-up: 1: I have: Nope. (Notes: Just found it listed on the Grand Comic Database.)

Marvel team-up(vol 3.) 1-24: Rotating cast. I have: None. (Note: Read the first trade. Really, really, really, really, bad.)

    Marvel Age Spider-man Team Up: 1-4: Spider-man leads. I have: 1.

    Completed Runs

Marvel Feature: 11-12. Thing leads. I have: Both of them, reprinted.

    Giant Size Spider-Man: 1-5.
    Spidey-leads. I have: All.

DC Special Series: # 8 (The Brave and the Bold Special). Batman lead. I have: Yup.

    Giant Size Super Villain Team-up:
1-2. Doctor Doom leads. I have: Both.

    Super Villain Team-Up: 1-17.
Doctor Doom leads. I have: All, reprinted.

Wonder Woman: 211-222, 231-240. Wonder Woman leads. I have: All but 233, 240.
(This fulfills the conditions, and, heck. I already have it. The first run with the JLA, the second with the JSA.)

Sgt. Rock, the Unknown Soldier, and Marie of the French Resistance: {Note: I forget the actual name of this one. Have.)

Marvel Comics Presents: 100. Wolverine + Ghost Rider + Doctor Doom + Nightmare. I have: Yes. (Note: Turned into a team-up book for one issue. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it, but since I already OWN it, it counts.)

    Ultimate Mavel Team-up 1-17: Spider-man leads. I have: All.

You may want to include a specific run of Action Comics: #584-599.

This run is basically the type of Team-Up title that you're talking about, with each issue featuring Superman and some other hero or team of heroes. Guest stars include the Phantom Stranger, the Metal Men, the Spectre and the Green Lantern Corps.

Oh right. Yeah. Good catch. I'm fairly sure I have all those plus 600.

    Okay, Repti,

This GCD page reveals that what you remember as
Sgt. Rock, the Unknown Soldier, and Marie of the French Resistance: {Note: I forget the actual name of this one. Have.)
    is DC Super-Stars No. 15, from July-August, 1977.

And if your definition of a team-up book is
I consider a team-up book as an Ongoing series, usually featuring Two heroes, one of which rotates on an issue to issue basis.
you are quite right to exclude World's Finest Comics for most of its run. However, you also have to exclude Super-Villain Team-Up and its big brother, Giant-Size Super-Villain Team-Up.

The "Superman plus guest" format lasted until World's Finest #214.

Showcase 55 & 56? The same two in both issues, but the implication was that more could follow...
