Is Mary Jane... <SPOILERS>

Does anybody think that MJ is Spider-Woman? I was thinking that maybe what we're seeing with MJ, Kaine and 6-armed spidey was a flashback. When Peter encounters Spider-Woman (possibly MJ), she had already been changed. I was looking at the timing and thinking could it be possible? Granted, anything is possible in comics, but is it plausible? Had enough time passed between MJ's abduction, Peter finding out and going to her usual hideaway? Plus, how would Spider-Woman know to go there anyway? Let me know your thoughts.

Yeah, I got a feeling they might be going that way. But I think its a little more likely that it might be an altered Peter clone or maybe an unnamed female who was injected with Parker's DNA. But yeah, MJ is probably going to be some sort of superhero. We've seen a few references to her almost being bit by the Spider, her saying "I was almost Spider-Man." The decompressed nature of the series helps with that since we get 100 issues covering less than a year. It allows Bendis to drop hints and then just leave them sitting there so we forget and are surprised when the revelations hit, but you can really go back and see the set up for it from the very beginning. Such a well written book. My vote for Best...Spider-man...ever.

Yeah, I think the same thing. I bet MJ has already had the super powers and maybe "Kaine" is sending her out to do "something." And maybe she can't remember when this persona takes over.

It's a possibility she's Spider-Woman, but I don't think so. She'd have to dye her hair real quick and get a costume, you know. Even I can't pull stuff like that in such short notice. Hats off to MJ if that's the way Bendis plays her.

There are all sorts of interesting ways this could go.

Personally I think one of Bendis' main problems is that he's great at setting up good plots, and then either forgets about them or wraps them up before they can be explored particularly well.

she talks exactly like Peter, and she has Peter's hair, only longer. Owing to the fact that she's on the cover with the 3 other clones, I'm going to say she's the female clone. The clones are all seem to have their own special "they messed with me this way" thing. Spider-woman is female, Kaine is scarred, Tarantula has six arms, and the Scorpion has a tail hooked into his spine.

yes, he is, and so is Kaine clearly..Kaine is not as nuts as Scorpion, he is more "get in my way with MJ and pay" crazy ( scarier crazy because he knows what he is doing ). We don't know about the Tarantula or Spider-woman, they appear to be more sane than the real Peter at the moment!

Dude, they know everything that is going on behind the scenes on the clone saga, so they aren't supprised by anything. Just how many crazy things have happened to Peter in the clone saga? He (might have) lost his new girlfriend, he fought a clone-with-a-tail version of himself, found out that MJ had disapeared (though we know she was kidnapped), fought a girl version of himself, saw his other best friend Gwen return from the dead (remember peter remarked that he was losing his mind when he saw 'Gwen'), he gave away his secret to his aunt May, he has been reunited with his long lost father, his house get surrounded by Fury and an army of spider-slayer robots, then Gwen turns out to be some kind of carnage clone and his aunt just had a heart attack.

I don't think ANYONE would have a grasp on their sanity after all that! (and i'm losing mine thinking about what will happen next)

I never said there is anything wrong with Peter's lack of sanity at the moment. In fact it's understandable...seriously, Peter is going to get his heart broken in like two ways if this arc goes bad..he may lose his "Dad" and MJ too.

I don't think that MJ is Spider-woman, or at least not the one we already saw. I think she could become her own spider-women though. Personally I hope this isn't the case. I would rather her have unique powers if powers at all. Truly though I would prefer her to have no powers.

I have said this before, but I like the separation between peters personal life and his super hero. That is why I don't care for Kittie, and most likely won't be interested in a sup'd MJ. I hope Bendis doesn't make a "mistake".....
