Default Hellfire Club and Civil War

Well, seeing that Iron Man is plannig to use mobsters as the Kingpin to bring down Cap's team,i'm wondering if Tony would use his Hellfire Club connections to this hole mess.It would be great to see more villains appearing in this arc(and Sebastian Shaw is a great villain)and thinking that Civil War will change the status of the Marvel world,so Hellfire Club maybe used the chaos to earn some benefits.

interesting point about the hellfire club. interesting because the original m.o. of the hellfire club inner circle (shaw, et al) was for the general public not to know that they were mutants or had powers. there has been so much messing around with the hc, however, so i don't know where that stands now. i guess as long as only the gov had this info, i could see them going with it.

I'd rather Chris Claremont be allowed to use the Hellfire Club for New Excalibur, since that's what he planned from the start. Joss Whedon's intervention screwed things up enough. I don't want the Hellfire Club getting involved in Civil War.

Just as long as they don't bring back Leeland.... Dead means dead... or else his death in Xmen and sacrifice to end Nimrod has no meaning....(oh wait...Nimrod's back now? Oh crap.....):(

I don't know.I have a feeling that Iron Man will use his Hellfire connections.Well,he isn't a member of the inner circle but he is a normal member of the club. Also Stark use a member of the club to his cause(Green Goblin is also a member). So,it looks logical to me to use the resources of the club to beat the anti-reg group.

I doubt the Club will come up in any way, shape, or form. The HFC is basically an "X-Men" invention, and one of the whole underlying purposes of this crossover is to put the "spotlight" on the non-X portions of the Marvel Universe for a change.

Well, technically Nimrod escaped after Leland died, so his sacrifice didn't really end the threat of Nimrod, but I get your drift.

Yeah, but Stark's not an Inner Circle member, hence he doesn't have the authority to utilize the HFC's resources (personnel, technology, etc.) for his own purposes without their approval. He could use his contacts in the club (as you said, Osborn is a member, plus Stark no doubt knows Shaw and lots of other shady types as a result of attending HFC functions) to get information, though.

I'm sure if Stark wanted to do something nefarious, the Shadow King can offer him a deal with the devil, as seen in an alternate reality in Excalibur (1st Series) #'s 21-22.
