Default YOU KNOW WHY EMMA's EVIL again!?

She's really protective of her students, right?

Her Hellions are dead, her students in Genosha are dead, & the stupid kids in "New X-Men" are dying left, right & centre.
And the Institute has been bombed & attacked 10 times & under alien invasion & now is surrounded by Sentinels (THEY KILLED HER BELOVED HELLIONS REMEMBER?!?!?) & under governmental survellance AKA control.
OF COURSE she wants to take control coz Xavier's is INEPT.
How many times have the Hellfire Club been attacked/infiltrated throughout the years?!?
    5?

Since Emma joined Xavier's & decided to try the goody 2-shoes route her evil sisters have tried to F__K up her school & caused irreversable damage AKA DEATH, and ONSLAUGHT as well (oooh irony, that kind bald LAME guy who convinced you over tea to join the side of the angels became a demon so EVIL the whole Marvel Universe had to band together to stop him!)
Emma decides to LEAVE the f_ckin' country to start anew & just focus on teaching. Then Genosha's blown up all around you. SENTINELS AGAIN!!!

Then she goes to the Institute, thinking OK maybe the MAIN institution is the SAFEST haven but of course we have student riots resulting in DEATHS, a student SHOOTS HER, she's DEAD. The wife of the man she's having an affair with revives her, so now Emma feels like she's indebted to Jean, her best f_ckin friend.
Then, COUNTLESS more invasions & attacks, by some of the LAMEST supervillain teams as well.
AND now SENTINELS, SENTINELS are surrounding your school grounds. THE SENTINELS WHO KILLED YOUR BELOVED ORIGINAL STUDENTS AND EVERYONE AROUND YOU IN GENOSHA.
    NO WONDER SHE WANTS OUT.
    GIVE EMMA A BREAK!!!!!!!
SCREW THIS HEROINE BULLSHIT & BRING BACK THE HEROIN & CRACK.
    NOBODY SURVIVES F_CKIN XAVIER'S~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!
DRUGS, DECEIT & HELLFIRE's THE ONLY WAY OF SURVIVAL.

But that would require Whedon to care about inter-title continuity. ;)

At best Emma Frost should be the teacher of another school of mutants, similar to Magneto's beliefs, but not quite so high and mighty. Having her be part of the X-Men was a mistake from the beginning as far as I am concerned. And don't even get me started on her ridiculous second mutation; have they done away with that nonesense yet? Emma Frost is best as the White Queen, whether that be under the impetous of the Hellfire club, or a new version of the Hellions.

I hope she stays evil or at least as an antagonist to the X-men. She doesn't work well on the team IMO.

The Hellions were killed by Sentinels brought by a crazy time traveler while she was in a coma, and the former New X-men by a crazy preacher after they were depowered and there was no reason why anyone would see them as threat. Yeah, i can see how it was all their fault and she's a really bad teacher

Emma Frost was a C-lister while she was a villain; many villains were much more powerful (Stryfe, The Sentinels), interesting (like Mystique), or both (Magneto, Sinister, and Louise Simonson's Poccy), and even in the "hot rich bitch from the Hellfire Club" she would lose to Selene, and both she and Courtney Ross could fill that role. As a member of the X-men, however, she's unique, there's no one like her.

And, at this point, it should be clear to anyone she's not evil again.
That's right! Al Gore invented the internet, let's all go kick his ass!

I got your inconvenient truth right here, motherf*&¨%!

I completely agree. I think people need to start getting over the fact that she's a good guy. I think that a story with her being evil or turning on the X-Men(For real) would just be bad writing. What kind of plausible story could you possibly write to erase years of character development. And for those non believers, she has indeed gone through a lot and you don't want to challenge me. I'm too stubborn to lose.

No, I'm fine with her being evil again. She did a great job on stoping Wanda that led into why Decimation. And we all know how good Decimation was. That wrecking ball ran through the X-Book and seem to not done wrecking other X-comics. I'm fine with getting rid of that mess that Grant Morrison left behind by Marvel aimed way to high for a number when they where done with House of M with that "No more mutants" crap. I'm sorry but that what it turned into.

By the way Emma was working and coming off as a good guy when she was in Generation X. But now as a X-Men she just not working out. From the start you or anyone could tell you that. She could not lead the team right. And most of her commands to her team mates where from bad to worst. So yea, she did get most of her students killed. She needs to be thrown to the streets and never made as headmaster of the school again.

I was just thinking about something along these lines today - I think it's time for Emma to stop being "in-between" good and bad. Every writer has really taken advantage of her "mean" side and tried to make it seem like she was going to become a villain. I mean, in Gen X they constantly had cover captions that were like: "THEY THOUGHT THE WHITE QUEEN HAD GONE SOFT - THEY WERE WRONG!" - that's just one off the top of my head. And supposedly, she was going to trade Penance off in one issues.
The Morrison had that moment between her and Cassandra Nova - where she put Cassandra in "Stuff"
And now in Astonishing. I'm really hoping that the end of this arc establishes her as a real hero - because, in my opinion, that's what she is.
I think it's perfectly possible for her to maintain her bitchy "edge" without having to "almost become a villain"

Speaking of writers taking advantage of Emma, it's time for her students to stop dying. Like...for real. Just because her students died once doesn't mean she has to KEEP living through that. It's also getting old, I think. She really tries her best for the kids, but, of course, because she's teaching, some ridiculous event HAS to occur where a number of them die, and she's sad. It needs to end, please.

Sorry for rambling...but I love Emma, and I think it's time she's treated with some respect!

I'm sorry, what? How is decimation Emma's fault!?!?!? and besides that, what commands went from bad to worse!?!?!? please tell me your not referencing kyle&yosts run on New X-men where they exclaimed that they felt like the book was a teenage soap opera at a prom so they took machine guns to it? Emma hasn't done much to get her students killed.

I've never seen her in the field spouting out commands. Scott is the one who gives them to everyone else. She has ideas and she helps saves her teammates(Iceman) but she doesn't spout out commands in the field. Also, kyle&yosts characterization of her isn't really the greatest. Some people like it yes, but it's not her. And to tell the truth, you can't really judge her characterization in Astonishing either because the whole point of the arc so far is "is she bad or good?" which, gotta tell ya... I'm pretty sure she's good.

I completely agree with you. I'm not crazy about this whole Emma having her students die curse that every writer feels the need to exploit. I have faith that Emma will come out as the Hero after this. It's Whedon's style IMO.:)

well she an't no Jean Gray. Let's face it Jean Gray would have kicked Wanda a** all over the place.

Were where you when Mr. Jip put up this thread? In fact were where you when most of Emma's students like the Hellions are like I don't know dead.

And besides the only time I think her character was good was when she was with Generation X. In fact that was the only time I liked her character. but now Marvel as used her character up so much that she not working as a good character anymore. It's not that I hate har (even that I do at this pont.) but she's all used up. Marvel can stick a fork in her, she done.
